Washington [US], April 7 (ANI): Microsoft has made considerable progress in its Xbox AI era by introducing an AI-generated version of Quake II , playable in a browser through Copilot.
As reported by The Verge, this technology demonstration highlights the potential of Microsoft 'Muse AI model, capable of generating gameplay, is also a key component of the firm's Copilot for Gaming initiative.
The AI-generated Quake II The level is beginner-friendly, with indistinct foes and engagements, and offers only a restricted amount of gameplay time.
Nevertheless, this showcases how Muse can assist game developers in prototyping games and enhancing beloved classics.
Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has previously discussed the potential use of Muse technology to enable older games to be easily adaptable for contemporary systems. He stated, “Imagine a scenario where through gameplay footage and videos, an AI model can understand classic titles and facilitate their portability across various platforms,” according to The Verge.
The newest demo operates at a smooth gameplay frame rate with a marginally better resolution compared to the initial showcase.
Microsoft is presenting Muse as an assistant for game developers, and it's probable that we will witness additional brief, interactive AI-driven gaming experiences from Copilot Labs in the near future.
Microsoft is also focusing on transforming Copilot into a gaming coach, enabling the AI assistant to offer tips and guidance.
A portion of this feature, known as Copilot Vision, will be accessible to Windows Insiders shortly. (ANI)
