As the global entertainment sector eagerly anticipates the launch of a new single from Bullion Records' songwriter and music superstar, Abdul Rahman Yusuf, widely recognized as Harcher, the inaugural track was debuted at two renowned venues in Lagos—the Westend Sports Bar and Eagle Club—on consecutive days, Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
The debut performances of the two tracks, "Love" and "Jo Si (Dance to It)," at the two events were true to their promise, with Harcher showcasing his talent amid thunderous applause from the crowd.
At the Eagle Club, where he entertained alongside Oritse Femi, Harcher was delighted to take the stage with the renowned singer, known for his hits "Igbeyawo" and "Oro Aje."
At the events, Harcher expressed his satisfaction with how well-received his tracks were during their premieres.
I fulfilled the expectation by completely transforming the entire area. This was what was anticipated for those evenings, and I expressed gratitude to God for meeting these expectations.
I began composing music at an astonishingly early age. My drive stemmed from my passion for music, and witnessing others succeed further fueled this enthusiasm.
My advice to music producers, songwriters, and artists is to continue composing. Persist in bringing new tracks into the recording studio. You can never predict which ones will become immensely popular. Continue crafting lyrics and melodies anywhere—whether it’s in your bedroom or living room—and always stay driven.
I understand it’s not simple, yet consistency is crucial; you never know when that pivotal moment might arrive.
For me, this is merely the start, not the conclusion. More will follow. My songwriting draws inspiration from imagination and personal encounters. Every time you encounter Harcher, expect a certain atmosphere.
Harcher mentioned that the late great Fela Anikulapo Kuti, along with Davido and Olamide, tops his list of role models.
He referred to Bullion Records as his protector. "With Bullion Records acting as my guardian, everything I require is provided. They ensure professionalism too," he stated. He expressed his desire to achieve greater visibility with Bullion Records by his side, aiming for the larger platform.
At the event, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, who chairs Bullion Records, expressed his delight in attending the premiere of Harcher’s Tracks. He believes that Harcher, being both young and immensely gifted as a songwriter and musician, deserves this recognition.
At Bullion Records, our objective is to showcase youthful and gifted artists. We are committed to propelling Harcher into the spotlight. It is anticipated that he will launch his album prior to July of this year, coinciding with his scheduled performance in London.
"At Bullion Records, our commitment is to uncover emerging artists and propel them into the spotlight, and we remain dedicated to continuing this mission," Ajadi stated.
The Managing Director of Bullion Records, Mr Femi Elegbede, also commented that Harcher is a versatile artist.
He’s a promising young fellow with immense enthusiasm for success. Currently, he’s the talk of the town; everyone seems to be talking about him. During this premiere, his work received quite a warm welcome, which makes me both glad and impressed. Harcher stands out as a distinct talent; he doesn’t mimic others but expresses himself uniquely.
Bullion Records is where he belongs; it’s like his family—his father, his mother. This summer, specifically in July, he’ll take the stage at the Afrobeats Festival in London. Big opportunities lie ahead for him. While we represent multiple artists, we’re focusing on each of them individually. Currently, our spotlight is on Harcher, with more to follow.
