Sai Sudharsan, who has emerged as one of the most dazzling players this season, continued his outstanding run with another stellar innings of 82 runs from only 53 deliveries. With strong performances across their bowlers, Gujarat secured a victory over Rajasthan Royals by 58 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Sudharsan Storm: Gujarat Sets 218-Run Target for Royals

In the IPL 2025 match held in Ahmedabad, Rajasthan Royals won the coin toss and decided to field first against Gujarat Titans. The latter team went on to post an impressive score of 217 runs at the expense of losing six wickets before being declared out.

Sai Sudharsan steals the spotlight

Sai Sudharsan maintained his impressive batting display, leading Gujarat Titans' score with an excellent 82 runs off 53 deliveries. Even though captain Shubman Gill was sent back to the pavilion early by Jofra Archer for only 2 points, Sudharsan stabilized the inning confidently. Alongside him, he formed a crucial 80-run partnership for the second wicket with Jos Buttler, who quickly amassed 36 from 25 balls, hitting five fours, until he was caught out by Mahesh Theekshana.

Midline reinforcement and closing enhancement

Shahrukh Khan also put forth a significant effort, scoring 36 runs in only 20 balls. Nonetheless, wickets continued to fall periodically; Mahesh Theekshana was responsible for dismissing both Buttler and Shahrukh. Sherfane Rutherford scored merely 7 runs prior to his dismissal, whereas Rashid Khan added 12 more but then got removed by Tushar Deshpande. It was left to Rahul Tewatia to ignite the later bursts of scoring as he remained not out on 24 off 12 balls, assisting Gujarat in surpassing the total of 210.
