Among the headliners for this year’s Stendhel Festival are The Lightning Seeds and Grammy-winning artist Kate Nash.
The yearly summertime celebration takes place from July 4th to 6th at Ballymully Cottage Farm close to Limavady, County Londonderry.
The lineup for the festival also features comedian Ed Byrne, country artist Lisa McHugh, along with The Orb and Joshua Burnside.
In its 15th year now, organizers mention that the lineup strikes a balance between well-known artists and the finest emerging talents.
"From humble beginnings as a mere daydream, we've evolved into the biggest and most enduring independent festival across the entire island of Ireland, and we're thrilled to share this journey with all of you this summer," stated festival director Ross Parkhill.
What is Stendhal?
The Stendhal Festival is a yearly open-air event that showcases music, comedy, dance, poetry, workshops, and activities for families and children.
The title alludes to the Stendhal syndrome—a mental state causing dizziness in individuals confronted with extraordinary beauty.
The festival takes place at the scenic countryside location of Ballymully Cottage Farm in Roe Valley, approximately three miles from the town of Limavady.
Additionally, the festival stands out in Northern Ireland's musical landscape by offering a dedicated campsite where ticket holders can remain overnight on the premises.
Who else will be taking the stage at Stendhal Festival this year?
The lineup for this event includes DJ Marc McCabe, making his first appearance at Stendhal, as well as Mercury and Choice Award-nominated artist Fionn Regan.
In addition to Joshua Burnside, several other artists from Northern Ireland have been confirmed, such as The Woodburning Savages, The Florentinas, Duke Special, Huartan, Problem Patterns, and The Bonnevilles.
All Folk'd Up, Junior Brother, Bog Bodies, Bicurious, Nerves, and Babyrat are also part of the lineup.
