No, Jon Bernthal’s Punisher would have no interest in joining any squad of superheroes. However, the crew featured in “Thunderbolts*” appears to be precisely the type of team he might gravitate towards. It’s worth noting that in the comic books, the Thunderbolts were among the rare groups where Punisher felt at ease and belonged.
3. Harrison Ford portraying Red Hulk
A potential reason for excluding The Abomination from "Thunderbolts" could be that the filmmakers aimed to assemble a team without many extremely powerful members. Instead, they preferred focusing on characters who were more relatable as underdogs.
However, despite his strength, the Red Hulk could still fit into the team dynamically. In contrast to the Abomination, we have not observed Thaddeus Ross exerting any form of mental dominance over his Hulk side.
