 — Film Gundik garapan sutradara Anggy Umbara secara resmi meluncurkan teaser poster terbaru-nya.


 Anggy menyatakan bahwa poster yang pertama kali dikeluarkan menunjukkan bahu Luna Maya di dalam bathtub tidak lolos sensor.


 " Poster yang pertama ternyata tidak lolos sensor. Namun, kami telah berdiskusi dengan LSF," ungkap Anggy Umbara ketika ditemui di kawasan Senayan, Jakarta Pusat beberapa waktu lalu.




 Akhirnya, Anggy merancang kembali poster kedua untuk film itu.


 Pada poster terkini tersebut, nampak Luna Maya tengah berendam dalam suatu bak mandi melingkar yang telah diisi dengan kain merah serta bunga-bungaan.


 "Akhirnya kami membuat poster baru dan kategori-nyanya diubah menjadi SU (Seluruh Usia)," jelas Anggy Umbara.


 Pada kesempatan tersebut, Gundik secara resmi mengeluarkan trailer selama satu menit yang sebagian besar memperlihatkan Luna Maya dalam peran barunya sebagai Gundik.


 Selanjutnya, beberapa pencuri pun menjadi target mudah bagi Gundik di dalam sebuah rumah.




 "Bila diminta menjelaskan perasaaannya, cukup kacau balau. Pertanyaan tentang Gundik membuatnya bingung. Karena biasanya istilah tersebut memiliki konotasi negatif. Namun, setelah mengetahuinya, ternyata karakter ini memainkan peran penting di banyak tempat (di seluruh dunia). Kadang kita tidak menyadarinya dan cenderung mengira hal itu buruk, tetapi sebenarnya memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan," jelas Luna Maya.


 Film Gundik bercerita tentang kegiatan empat pencuri yang berencana merampok rumah seorang wanita yang menjadi selingkuhan dari beberapa petugas pemerintahan, dikenal sebagai gundik.


 Akan tetapi, hal yang tak diketahuinya sebelumnya ialah bahwa Gundik itu ternyata adalah Sang Nyai, Raja dari Pantai Laut Selatan.


 Pada movie tersebut, Anggy menyajikan campuran genrenya yaitu horor-heist disertai nuansa komedinya.


 Di luar Luna Maya, pemeran dalam film ini mencakup Maxime Bouttier, Agus Kuncoro, Ratu Sofya, Rukman Rosadi, Tyo Pakusadewo, Arief Didu, serta banyak aktor lainnya.

Instead of rushing, they spent considerable time consulting various sectors within the stunt community—stunt coordinators, second-unit directors, representatives from both women’s and men’s groups. Each distinct part of the industry was approached so they could gather insights on more than whether an award should be established; everyone agreed that such recognition was warranted. The real discussion revolved around understanding how best to present the accolade, whom to honor with it, and what criteria would determine these decisions.  He mentioned that unlike many other departments, ours has numerous distinct coordinators.
 
 
 He went on, "We've got a stunt coordinator, a flight coordinator, a choreographer, a driving coordinator, and even an underwater coordinator—there’s quite a variety ensuring everything runs smoothly. The challenge lies in making the awards equitable and truly supporting what the stunt departments stand for. In my view, they executed this task admirably."
 
 
 Stahelski began his career as a stunt performer in movies such as The Crow (1994), Escape from L.A. (1996), Alien Resurrection (1997), The Matrix (1999), Spider-Man 2 (2004), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), Live Free or Die Hard (2007), Rambo (2008), and The Hunger Games (2012).
 
 
 "When working as a stunt double, I had the opportunity to appear in front of the camera and gain knowledge from the cast members, which allowed me to understand various facets of film production," he explained.

 None of the Korean films submitted were chosen for the primary roster of this year’s Cannes Film Festival, which marks their first omission in 12 years.


 The organizing committee of the festival revealed the official selections for its 78th edition during a press conference at UGC Montmartre in Paris on April 10, encompassing entries from both competitive and non-competitive sections.


 The selection for this year's Cannes Festival features no Korean titles in any significant sections such as Competition, Out of Competition, Midnight Screenings, Un Certain Regard, or Cannes Premiere. This is the first occurrence since 2013 where Korean film does not appear in either competitive or non-competitive segments.


 Various South Korean movies were put forward for consideration, such as "The Ugliest" directed by Yeon Sang-ho, "Journey to Gyeongju" helmed by Kim Mi-jo, and "All-Knowing Reader: The Prophet" from director Kim Byung-woo; however, they did not secure an invitation. It should be noted that Park Chan-wook’s forthcoming project "No Other Way," which is currently undergoing post-production, wasn’t among those considered.


 This also signifies three continuous years without any South Korean film being chosen for the primary contest, where the festival's highest accolade, the Palme d'Or, is awarded. In 2019, Bong Joon-ho’s "Parasite" claimed the Palme d'Or, whereas in 2022, Park Chan-wook earned the Best Director award for "Decision to Leave," and Song Kang-ho took home the Best Actor prize for his role in "Broker." The previous year, Ryoo Seung-wan’s "I, the Executioner" had its screening at the non-competing Midnight Screenings segment.


 It is quite rare for no Korean film to receive an invitation to Cannes. Typically, since the early 2000s, the festival has usually featured between one and four South Korean titles annually. Nonetheless, considering that Cannes sometimes adds selections post-lineup announcement, there’s still a chance that a Korean movie might be incorporated at a later date.


 The festival this year will take place from May 13 to 24 in the southern French city of Cannes, with renowned French actress Juliette Binoche acting as the jury president.

 California [US], April 11 (ANI): On Thursday, the Board of Governors at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences unveiled plans for a new competitive Academy Award category recognizing excellence in stunt design.
 
 
 The introduction of this new film category will start with the 100th Academy Awards in 2028 for movies released in 2027, as reported by Variety.
 
 
 As reported by the source, Director and Producer David Leitch spearheaded the effort on behalf of the stunt professionals to establish a new official Oscar category.
 
 
 Leitch maintained a distinctive connection with this category since he began his journey as a stunt performer in the movie business prior to transitioning into directing. Alongside stunt coordinator and designer Chris O'Hara from Stunts Unlimited and various other individuals, Leitch presented multiple proposals to the Academy. This collaborative effort culminated in the Board of Governors ratifying the introduction of the new award category earlier today.
 
 
 "From the very beginning of film history, stunt designing has played a crucial role in movie production. It gives us great pleasure to recognize the groundbreaking efforts of these skilled technicians and imaginative creators, and we applaud their steadfast devotion leading up to this significant milestone," stated Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy president Janet Yang according to Variety.
 
 
 According to the source, the criteria for eligibility and voting for the first-time award will be disclosed in 2027 alongside the full set of guidelines for the 100th Academy Awards.
