New Delhi [India], April 6 (ANI): On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his Ram Navami wishes, expressing hope for renewed energy among citizens.

PM Modi addressed X saying, "Warmest wishes to everyone on the celebration of Ram Navami. May this divine and significant day marking Lord Shri Ram’s birth infuse new awareness and renewed vigor into your life, continually providing fresh strength to the commitment of a robust, thriving, and competent India. Victory to Lord Rama!"

Prime Minister Modi will visit the Ramanathswamy Temple in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu, during Ram Navami to inaugurates the newly constructed Pamban Bridge.

The updated Pamban Bridge will supersede the original structure from 1914, which was shut down in 2022 because of rust issues.

The bridge extends for more than 2.5 kilometers and was constructed by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) with a budget of Rs 535 crore.

At the same time, numerous devotees flocked to Ayodhya's Ram Temple for this significant event.

Prior to their visit to the temple, pilgrims bathe in the sacred waters of the Saryu River in Ayodhya.

On Ram Navami, the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya was festooned with colorful blooms and sparkling lights, attracting worshippers nationwide to commemorate Lord Rama's birth.

A follower remarked, "I feel much better since I arrived here...Everything is arranged quite well..."

A follower from Varanasi mentioned, "I traveled all the way from Varanasi to pray at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple during the festival of Ram Navami..."

Pilgrims also flocked to the Hanumangarhi Temple in Ayodhya.

The priest of Hanuman Garhi Temple, Mahant Raju Das, stated, "On this Ram Navami, I wish to convey my greetings. Morning aartis were held at 3 AM. Numerous devotees have been praying fervently at the temple during this celebration of Ram Navami. As today marks the birth anniversary of Lord Rama, I offer my warmest wishes to all his followers. My prayer is for global well-being."

Every year, Ram Navami is observed throughout India on the final day of Chaitra Navratri to commemorate the birth of Lord Rama. On this holy occasion, young females embodying the nine manifestations of Goddess Durga receive presents and prasad. (ANI)
