Arcade Fire has revealed plans for their first new album since frontman Win Butler faced accusations of sexual misconduct from several women in 2022. The group is set to release their seventh studio album. Pink Elephant will be released next month. The press release for the band’s new album explains that “pink elephant” symbolizes “the ironic phenomenon when trying not to think about something makes it incredibly difficult to do so.” Additionally, they mention that “Year of the Snake,” which ties into the 2025 Lunar New Year, embodies rebirth as Arcade Fire undergoes transformation, shedding their old self like a snake and emerging rejuvenated.
