Genesis will actively strengthen its vehicle infotainment experience by expanding the number of vehicles that apply exclusive streaming content.
Genesis brand (hereinafter referred to as Genesis) announced that it will provide "Genesis Music" and "Bloomberg App" services free of charge to Genesis vehicles equipped with ccIC (connected car Integrated Cockpit) infotainment system through an OTA software update from the 10th (Thursday).
The Bloomberg application will be accessible across all device models, whereas Genesis Music will be available on every model excluding the G9024, the pre-updated GV60, and the electrified GV70 versions. Please note that updates for the electrified GV70 models are scheduled for release in the latter part of this year.
Customers of Genesis can access new content effortlessly without setting up additional accounts or opting for a subscription plan via wireless software updates, eliminating the need to visit the service center.
Genesis Music, the brand’s dedicated music streaming platform, enhances your journey with an enriched auditory experience through the car's advanced audio setup optimized for Dolby Atmos surround sound technology.
Furthermore, thanks to an intuitive user experience design and multiple playlist options, users can easily find music and choose recommended tracks directly from their device without needing a smartphone connection. Additionally, there’s no degradation in audio quality even when using Bluetooth connectivity. With this upgrade, customers gain access to Genesis Music's unrestricted streaming service for as long as five years.
The "Bloomberg App" is a service that provides three contents of Bloomberg, a global news platform, in real-time to vehicles (Bloomberg TV+, Bloomberg Original, and News Feed), and is supported exclusively by Genesis among finished car brands.
The Bloomberg TV+ and News Feed sections will include translation features in five languages: Korean, Chinese, German, French, and Arabic. Users can access the app’s news and stock data without logging in until October 2026.
Furthermore, Genesis plans to offer current owners of the G90, G80 (which includes electric variants), and GV80 (encompassing coupé versions) a complimentary one-year Bloomberg subscription valued at $299 annually. This allows access to Bloomberg’s extensive content across various platforms beyond just their cars, including smartphones and tablets.
