The player, who is 27 years old, has been experiencing difficulties with his performance and only just got his initial summons to the English national team after a year.

What was the reason for Marcus Rashford being penalized?

The Sun reports that Rashford has been penalized with a fine of nearly £800 for not providing the police with details about the driver of his £100,000 electric BMW i7 on October 30 of last year.

In July, Rashford received a six-month ban from driving due to exceeding the speed limit in December 2023. According to Sky Sports, he also had to pay a fine of £1,666.

The BMW was spotted in Winsford, Cheshire, England on October 30 of last year. The player featured in Manchester United’s 5-2 victory against Leicester City in the League Cup.

The authorities dispatched a letter to Rashford requesting information about the driver of the vehicle. Additionally, the document states that he admitted to not responding to the summons from the magistrate's court on March 13. However, the driver’s identity remains undisclosed.

In September 2023, Rashford totaled his £700,000 Rolls Royce following his departure from Manchester United’s Carrington training complex.

The English national team player apparently has a McLaren 765LT and a £350,000 Lamborghini Urus Performante in his possession.

Could Rashford be leaving Manchester United?

Last December, Rashford informed seasoned British journalist Henry Winter that he was seeking a fresh challenge following his omission by newly appointed manager Ruben Amorim on December 15th.

He stated, 'I believe I am prepared for a fresh challenge and the subsequent stages.'

Amorim never reprised the role of the academy graduate, and it appears he may be leaving his childhood club soon.

"What I mean is, I couldn’t have Marcus understand the correct approach to playing football and training the way I envision it," Amorim stated through ESPN.

It remains uncertain whether he will make a permanent switch to Aston Villa this summer. Qualification for the Champions League could well influence his choice.

Rashford's drop in form

The English player has seen a significant decline in performance after netting 30 goals during the 2022/23 season, which was the peak of his career so far.

Nevertheless, his performance declined notably. From the start of the 2022/23 season until now, he has managed to score 15 goals in 76 matches across all competitions.
