Changi Airport has been named the world's best airport for 2025 at the World Airport Awards organized by London-based aviation consultancy Skytrax after losing the title to Qatar's Hamad International Airport last year.

Doha's Hamad International Airport fell to the second position, succeeded by Tokyo International Airport in Japan and then Incheon International Airport in South Korea.

The rankings were derived from a worldwide survey carried out by Skytrax, collecting feedback from more than 13 million airport travelers spanning over 100 nations from August 2024 through February 2025.

Travelers rated airports on their experiences at various stages of their journey, including check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security, immigration, and boarding.

At Changi, which houses the planet's biggest indoor waterfall, travelers can utilize self-service kiosks for check-ins along with biometric verification to expedite the immigration process.

Recently, it has become one of the premier airports globally to provide passport-free immigration processing across all terminals, enabling passengers to complete immigration formalities in approximately 10 seconds.
