WASHINGTON (DIWIDA.NEWS) – President Donald Trump, who had criticized it for years, issued an executive order on Wednesday to remove limitations on shower water pressure, stating his aim was to "preserve my lovely hair."

Trump's executive order is aimed at reversing efficiency and water conservation steps taken by the last two Democratic presidents, Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

As per a White House document, Trump plans to "reverse the Obama-Biden conflict against water pressure and restore greatness to America's showers."

The document stated, "Excessive regulation strangles the U.S. economy, solidifies bureaucratic control, and restricts individual liberty."

Trump directed the Energy Department to rescind a rule begun by Obama and brought back by Biden that limited the flow from each showerhead on the market to 2.5 gallons (9.5 liters) of water per minute.

The directive removes water usage limitations for nearly all devices that utilize water, including items like toilets and dishwashers.

"Personally, I enjoy taking a refreshing shower and tending to my luscious locks," Trump stated at a signing event in the Oval Office. He mentioned that due to present rules, he must remain beneath the showerhead for 15 minutes, describing this requirement as absurd.

He stated, 'We will make it accessible so that individuals can have a life.'
