On May 5, it was reported that Pakistan’s national cricket squads experienced a downturn in their standings within the most recent ICC rankings. This drop impacts Test matches, One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 International (T20I) formats. Meanwhile, countries such as India and Australia maintain robust spots in these listings. Additionally, both Sri Lanka and England demonstrated notable advancements in their respective ranking positions.
In the Test rankings, Australia maintains its position at the top. England has advanced to second place. Both India and South Africa have slipped in their standings. Meanwhile, Pakistan continues to be placed within the lower portion of the top ten.
India tops the ODI rankings. Their position was further solidified following their victory at the Champions Trophy. Sri Lanka saw significant progress, moving ahead of both Pakistan and South Africa. As a result, Pakistan has dropped to the fifth spot.
India leads the pack in T20I rankings as well. The current list features 100 teams altogether. Pakistan has slipped down to the eighth position. Their recent subpar performance caused this drop. Notably, Sri Lanka now ranks above Pakistan.
