Benni McCarthy has surprised with some unexpected choices in his final lineup set to take on Gabon in the World Cup qualifying matches.
Players based locally have been hit the hardest, with only five securing spots from the initial roster of 50 athletes.
Notably, young U20 center-back Manzur Okwaro has secured a spot in the concluding roster, whereas Ismael Gonzalez makes his comeback to the national side following an extensive hiatus. Moreover, Eric Johana Omondi, Daniel Anyembe, and Richard Odada are anticipated to link up with their teammates in Abidjan shortly.
