The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has cautioned that Vladimir Putin is amassing a significant force of soldiers along the frontier, readying them for a possible incursion into the Sumy region, which is situated in northeast Ukraine.

Zelenskyy Additionally, they refuted statements from the Russian president claiming that Ukrainian troops in the Kursk area had been encircled.

Although a 30-day truce suggestion has been presented, Putin is yet to formally endorse the initiative and maintains that a lasting peace deal needs to be secured.

Towards the close of last year, Russia was bolstered militarily by North Korea, which dispatched approximately 12,000 soldiers to aid its ally. These Asian reinforcements have allegedly been involved in attacks within the Kursk area.

" We're monitoring movements along Ukraine’s eastern frontier as well, where the Russian military is amassing troops. This suggests they might launch an assault on our Sumy area. We’re conscious of these actions and intend to respond accordingly. It's crucial that all allies grasp precisely what Putin has planned, what steps he is taking, and which areas he may choose to disregard. " stated the Ukrainian leader in their post on X this Saturday.
