
Mumbai (Maharashtra), India, April 9 (ANI): The increasing adoption of Artificial Intelligence ( AI The discussion around music production has been a heated subject in the industry, and currently, renowned playback vocalist Abhijeet Bhattacharya has expressed his firm opinions on the issue.
During an interview with ANI, the musician voiced his worry over how technology has supplanted "actual performers" and asserted that it was the work of a composer. AR Rahman Who initiated the trend that resulted in musicians losing their jobs after playing in films?
Abhijeet criticized Rahman by saying that the composer was the person who urged the industry to cease employing live musicians.
As for the musicians who previously performed in movies, they are currently unemployed — largely due to Mr. Rahman," Abhijeet stated. "He informed them that musicians were no longer necessary... as everything could be accomplished using a laptop.
"All have achieved success thanks to him, but the struggling musicians remain confined to their homes... Rahman Sir has stated that whatever money I earn will only benefit me; there is no need for the musicians," he further explained.
Criticizing the term " Artificial Intelligence Abhijeet stated, 'Consider it artificial, not intelligent... Every time I perform at a stage show, there are 20 musicians supporting me, consistently. This number will increase further. They are giving it their all.'
"Now nobody will establish themselves as a professional in the field of music. If you go looking for opportunities in the industry, you won’t come across many musicians. You won’t even find someone who plays the sitar. Everybody is composing music using their computers..." he added.
The renowned vocalist has contributed numerous hit songs to Bollywood during the '90s for classic movies such as "Baadshah," "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge," "Rakshak," "Darr," "Josh," "Dhadkan," "Raaz," "Pyar To Hona Hi Tha," "Khoobsurat," "Na Tum Jano Na Hum," "Kaho Na Pyar Hai," "Tum Bin," and "Jodi No 1."
