Holding a prototype that bore his face and an inscription "The Trump Card", the Republican president told reporters that the special visa would probably be available "in less than two weeks".

"I'm the first buyer," he said. "Pretty exciting, huh?"

Previously, Trump mentioned that selling this new visa, an upscale variant of the conventional green card, would attract job creators and potentially help decrease the U.S. national deficit.

The wealthy ex-real estate mogul, who has prioritized the expulsion of millions of unauthorized immigrants during his next term, stated that this new ID would provide a pathway to sought-after American citizenship.

In February, he stated that his administration aimed to sell around "perhaps a million" of these cards and did not exclude the possibility that Russian oligarchs might qualify for them.
