Dhaka, May 8 -- During his address on Thursday, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen mentioned that the upcoming visit of an unprecedentedly large business delegation from China to Bangladesh, headed by Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao later this month, signifies a strong message of openness, collaboration, and shared benefits. This mission aims to raise Sino-Bangladesh economic and commercial ties to an advanced stage.
"I am certain that this visit will convey a powerful message of openness, collaboration, and shared benefits, elevating Sino-Bangladeshi economic and trade ties to unprecedented heights," he stated during an event held locally. He further mentioned that the Chinese Minister of Commerce would be heading a delegation comprising over 100 Chinese businesspeople who plan to tour Bangladesh later this month.
As part of the visit, both parties will jointly organize a trade and investment matchmaking event. This gathering aims to bring together several hundred businesses from China and Bangladesh to discuss potential collaborations and new business prospects.

The Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) hosted a national-level lecture titled 'Five Decades of Bangladesh-China Relations: Toward Greater Heights' at their auditorium.
The BIISS Director General, Major General Iftekhar Anis, gave welcoming comments, whereas the session was led by its chairman, AFM Golam Sarwar. The executive director of the Centre for Alternatives, Bangladesh, Imtiaz Ahmed, presented.
