 （德国之声中文网）据中国官方消息，此次中国发展高层论坛年会的主题为“全面释放发展动能，共促全球经济稳定增长”，将举行12场专题研讨会和若干场闭门研讨会，内容涉及提振消费与扩大内需、以科技创新引领新质生产力发展、人工智能、人口结构变化的挑战与机遇、应对气候变化环境、全球产业链供应链合作等诸多领域。

 欧洲CEO比例增加 美国CEO减少

 据路透社所阅议程草案，与会者包括联邦快递、西门子、
 宝马、梅赛德斯-奔驰
 、高通、阿斯利康、雀巢、沙特阿美、城堡投资、力拓、德意志银行、麦肯锡、雅诗兰黛、渣打银行和毕马威的首席执行官。


 一位消息人士表示，根据议程草案，几家大型矿业、工程和医疗保健公司的高管也将参加。与往年相比，欧洲首席执行官的比例更高。


 梅赛德斯-奔驰发言人已向路透社证实，首席执行官兼董事长康林松（Ola Kallenius）将出席论坛。


 另有消息人士透露，今年出席中国发展高层论坛的美国首席执行官人数将会减少。一名消息人士说，“鉴于华盛顿目前对美国在华投资的审查日益严格，美国首席执行官的任何中国之行都会非常低调。”美国芯片巨头美光和AMD的首席执行官去年出席了中国发展高层论坛，但今年却没有在议程草案的与会者名单上。而谷歌、因美纳（Illumina）、PVH集团和沃尔玛等目前受到中国当局调查或审查的美国公司也没有出现在议程草案上。

 , PARIS -- Presiden Prancis Emmanuel Macron menyatakan bahwa Prancis, Inggris, serta negara-negara lain yang menjamin keamanan Ukraina pasca gencatan senjata tak berniat melakukan penempatan skala besar atas pasukannya. Meski demikian, mereka berhak mendeplokasikan sejumlah kontingen mencapai beberapa ribu personel ke area strategis dalam wilayah Ukraina tanpa perlu persetujuan Rusia.

 Moskow secara jelas menolak ide seperti itu, namun Macron menyatakan bahwa persetujuan dari Rusia tidak dibutuhkan.

 Kinshasa, le 16 mars 2025 (ACP).-
 
 Le président congolais a rencontré samedi un groupe de représentants de la société civile française qui sont venus pour sensibiliser sur l'agression Rwandaise en RDC. C'est ce qu'a indiqué la présidence congolaise.
 
 
 
 C'est une initiative de sensibilisation qui démontre que la société civile française est non seulement profondément affectée par la crise humanitaire dans les deux provinces du Kivu, mais qu'elle est également décidée à s'unir au côté du peuple congolais.
 
 , a indiqué Matthias Leridon, qui dirigeait la délégation.
 
 
 Selon ses dires, c'est une mission de 48 heures en République démocratique du Congo (RDC), destinée à permettre d'écouter toutes les autorités, les acteurs économiques et sociaux ainsi que les organisations non gouvernementales (ONG) locales concernant les exactions commises dans l’est du territoire national.
 
 
 La sécurité et la situation humanitaires dans les régions du Nord-Kivu et du Sud-Kivu ont été abordées lors des discussions entre le Président national et ses invités.
 
 
 Selon Matthias Leridon, le but est "que les tueries cessent immédiatement et que la Communauté internationale ainsi que les autorités politiques agissent pour trouver une solution définitive aux conflits qui ravagent la population congolaise depuis maintenant trois décennies".
 
 
 
 Gagner la guerre du récit
 
 
 
 Matthias Leridon, intervenant sur les possibles solutions pour sortir de la crise dans l'Est, a souligné l’importance de gagner la guerre des idées et des discours.
 
 C'est exact que de nos jours, nous sommes fortement engagés en Europe concernant l'Ukraine. Par rapport à ce qui se déroule dans les Kivu, cela dure depuis trois décennies et la mobilisation n'a pas vraiment été comparable.
 
 , a-t-il estimé.
 
 « La solution commence par se rendre en RD Congo, discuter avec toutes les personnes concernées directement ou indirectement par ces conflits, afin de pouvoir ultérieurement apporter un témoignage »
 
 , a-t-il soutenu.
 
 
 Au passage, l'activiste français a suggéré que cette démarche ne soit pas uniquement une action isolée, mais plutôt le commencement d'une campagne de sensibilisation.
 
 
 À la fin de cet entretien, Matthias Leridon a exprimé sa gratitude envers le Chef de l'État pour son écoute attentive.
 
 «Le Président de la République nous a non seulement présenté son analyse de ce conflit, mais aussi la manière dont il voyait les futures pistes pour pouvoir trouver une fin durable à ces crises de masse qui sont venues dans les provinces du Congo»

 «Nous avons surtout partagé le fait qu’au-delà des régimes, des problématiques politiques, il y a aussi une source de résolution de ces conflits dans l’amitié qu’il peut y avoir entre les peuples»

 La Belgique, ex-puissance coloniale tant de la RDC (anciennement Zaïre) que du Rwanda, est l’un des pays qui ont le plus critiqué Kigali après que la rébellion du M23, appuyée par Kigali, eut entamé une offensive en décembre dans l’est de la RDC. Cette opération a conduit au contrôle non seulement de Goma, chef-lieu du Nord-Kivu, mais aussi de Bukavu, situé dans le Sud-Kivu.


 Bruxelles avait particulièrement sollicité l’ Union européenne début janvier pour qu’elle prenne en considération des mesures restrictives contre le Rwanda, qui est soupçonné d’avoir bafoué la souveraineté de la RDC. La Belgique ne s’était pas rangée derrière le nouveau soutien financier de 20 millions d’euros accordé en novembre dernier. Elle s’est donc abstenue lors du scrutin effectué au sein du Conseil de l'UE.

 Nations such as Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, and Serbia similarly participated in the ceremony. This event occurred in Hong Kong on Friday. It was anticipated that representatives from twenty international organizations, which include the United Nations, would be present. The IOMed emerged as one of the results stemming from the China-hosted Belt and Road Forum. Talks regarding this initiative commenced in 2021, with Pakistan being one of the initial nations extended an invitation to join.


 During his speech at the event, Senator Dar commended China’s leadership and foresight. He stated that the establishment of IOMed underscores the significance of international collaboration. Furthermore, he mentioned that it instills optimism for a more equitable and tranquil globe. As one of the founding members, Pakistan intends to actively participate in these initiatives. The senator emphasized that working together through multiple parties is essential for maintaining peace and stability.


 Dar additionally addressed Pakistan’s dedication to tranquility and legal frameworks. He emphasized the importance of adhering fully to the principles laid out in the UN Charter and international laws. Criticizing India, he pointed out their disregard for global regulations and noted their termination of the Indus Waters Treaty. Dar further stressed the necessity of addressing injustices in both Kashmir and Palestine, asserting that these matters pose significant risks to stability within the region.


 In conclusion, the Foreign Office stated that IOMed is accessible to every nation. It upholds the individual laws and principles of each country. Its objective is to foster trust and encourage balanced discussions. The organization plans to incorporate mediators with varied legal backgrounds. Pakistan’s participation underscores its commitment to endorsing peaceful resolutions and a just international system.

 On Friday, dozens of nations, including Pakistan, teamed up with China to form a worldwide body aimed at resolving disputes through mediation. Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed his hope for Pakistan to take an "active" part in this initiative.


 Dar was one of the representatives from over 30 nations, including places like Indonesia, Belarus, and Cuba, who gathered in Hong Kong to sign the Convention establishing the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed). This made them part of the inaugural group of this worldwide body.


 Beijing has promoted the organization as the globe's premier governmental entity designed specifically for conflict resolution via mediation, asserting that it will serve as a crucial framework for upholding the tenets outlined in the UN Charter. Additionally, Beijing highlighted Hong Kong’s role as a key hub for international legal and dispute-resolution services within the Asian region.


 At the signing ceremony, Dar emphasized that Pakistan appreciates China's consistent backing of multinational initiatives designed to connect East and West as well as North and South. These endeavors unite developed and developing nations to create a world where all share a common destiny.


 He stated that Pakistan and China have consistently held the belief that multilateralism is central to global peace, stability, and progress.


 The establishment of IOMed today reinforces this vision, providing new avenues and renewed hope for constructing a more inclusive, fair, and equal society. Pakistan will remain an enthusiastic advocate in this worthy endeavor.


 The newly established headquarters located in Hong Kong is dedicated to facilitating the peaceful settlement of international conflicts and fostering greater harmony among nations globally. The backing from developing countries underscores China’s growing clout in the southern hemisphere as geopolitical strains intensify, partly due to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s imposition of trade duties.


 Wang stated that China has consistently promoted addressing disparities by fostering mutual comprehension and reaching agreements via discussions, striving to offer "Chinese insight" for settling disputes among countries.


 He stated that the creation of the International Organization for Mediation aids in moving past the zero-sum mentality of 'one side loses so the other can triumph.'


 John Lee, the leader of Hong Kong, stated that the group might start its operations as soon as the conclusion of this year. The event saw attendees from approximately 50 different nations along with around 20 international bodies, such as the United Nations.


 Yueming Yan, a law professor from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, stated that this new entity serves as an additional tool alongside current bodies like the International Court of Justice and thePermanent Court of Arbitration located in The Hague.


 She stated that whereas the ICJ and PCA concentrate on judgment and arbitration, IOMed presents a systematic and formal method of alternative dispute resolution—specifically, mediation—on a worldwide level.


 Even though numerous specifics regarding the new structure remain undisclosed, it might pave the way for enhanced collaboration between traditional legal actions such as lawsuits or arbitrations and more adaptable approaches like mediation, she explained.


 Shahla Ali, who teaches law at the University of Hong Kong, stated that the International Organization for Mediation would possess the capability to resolve conflicts among countries, between a country and an individual from another nation, as well as in cross-border business disagreements.


 She mentioned that conventions offer chances to try out innovative methods," adding that there is growing global interest in using mediation as a way to address conflicts between investors and states.


 Dar stated that peace and security along with worldwide prosperity can be enhanced and maintained by rigorously following the guidelines set forth in the UN Charter, faithfully implementing decisions made by the UN Security Council, and adhering to international law.


 "Pakistan has set up the International Mediation and Arbitration Center (IMAC) to enhance commercial and investment dispute resolution as well as judicial effectiveness. We are eager to work alongside the Secretariat of IOMed and the IMAC in Pakistan," he stated.

, May 31 -- Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus departed from Tokyo on Saturday heading back home after completing his four-day official visit to Japan.


 At 11:20 am Tokyo time, the Chief Advisor left Narita International Airport bound for Dhaka aboard a Singapore Airlines flight, wrapping up an exceptionally fruitful journey, according to remarks made by his Deputy Press Secretary, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, to UNB.


 He mentioned that Professor Yunus is set to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:40 PM.


 Professor Yunus and the Japanese Prime Minister plan to discuss enhanced collaboration during their meeting on Friday.


 During his tour on Friday, on the third day, Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus had a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba.


 The two leaders committed to finalizing an Economic Partnership Agreement between Japan and Bangladesh within the next few months, aiming to strengthen economic and commercial ties between these two amicable countries.


 The Japanese Prime Minister additionally pledged $1.063 billion to Bangladesh aimed at providing budgetary assistance and advancing railway projects.


 Subsequently, three agreements via exchanged notes were concluded within the same day. These covered the Development Policy Loan aimed at economic reform and enhancing climate resilience (worth 418 million USD), the loan designated for the Joydebpur-Ishwardi dual-gauge double-track railway initiative (valued at 641 million USD), as well as the grant supporting human development scholarships (amounting to 4.2 million USD).


 On the same day, the Chief Adviser spoke at the 'Bangladesh Business Seminar,' during which both nations inked six Memorandums of Understanding covering economic, investment, and various sectors of collaboration.


 On Thursday, Bangladesh and Japan inked two memorandums of understanding (MOUs) aimed at improving the capabilities of Bangladeshi workers and easing their job opportunities in Japan, reflecting the nation’s labor shortfall.

 Cambodia is dealing with some of the highest reciprocal tariff rates suggested by Washington. On top of the general 10% tariff imposed by Trump, Cambodia could face an additional 49% tariff on its exports to the U.S. when his 90-day suspension period ends.  "The scheduling of this visit is remarkably opportune for China, coming right after the announcement of Trump’s tariffs, which has led to controlled unease in Cambodia and Vietnam... and turmoil in Malaysia,” stated Astrid Norén-Nilsson, a senior lecturer specializing in contemporary Southeast Asian studies at Sweden’s Lund University, during an emailed interview conducted on Thursday.

 During his visits to Vietnam and Malaysia, Xi stressed the importance of enhancing relations, focusing specifically on boosting trade and investments. He also highlighted the necessity of combating unilateral actions and protectionist policies while supporting the global trading framework.


 The summary of the visit released on Friday by Cambodia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry primarily emphasized bilateral relations, with only minimal reference to the trade crisis. However, China's state-run Xinhua news agency reported that Xi addressed the same trade issues during this stop as he did previously.


 "The historic visit not only reinforced the steadfast dedication to the unbreakable bond between Cambodia and China but also significantly bolstered and expanded the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and mutually beneficial collaboration between both nations," stated the Cambodian announcement.


 While he was visiting, Xi had an official meeting with King Norodom Sihamoni and also met with Prime Minister Hun Manet and Senate President Hun Sen, who happens to be Hun Manet’s father and previously served as prime minister. This trip marked Xi’s return to Cambodia for the first time since 2016.


 Xi and Hun Manet also oversaw the signing of 37 agreements related to investments, commerce, education, banking, media, youth activities, farming, healthcare, water management, travel, gender issues, and various other topics.


 The details of the largest agreement were unveiled on Friday—the signing of a public-private partnership contract aimed at financing Cambodia’s substantial $1.156 billion Funan Techo Canal initiative. This project, initiated last year, faced an abrupt halt shortly after the commencement ceremony.


 The 151-kilometer (94-mile) long canal would connect a tributary of the Mekong River to a harbor on the Gulf of Thailand.


 For 13 continuous years, China has held the position of Cambodia’s top trading partner, with bilateral trade amounting to $17.83 billion in 2024, although this exchange heavily favors China. Additionally, over these same 13 years, China has been the leading provider of foreign direct investment into Cambodia. Moreover, it plays a significant role as an aid contributor and stands out as Cambodia’s principal debtor.


 In relation to societal and developmental concerns, the Foreign Ministry’s statement subtly drew a comparison with stances taken by the United States, stating, “both parties recognized the worldwide menace presented by climate alteration and pledged to enhance environmental conservation efforts as well as promote cooperation in clean energy initiatives.”


 China has also been assisting Cambodia in addressing its issue of removing land mines leftover from past military confrontations, along with collaborating in healthcare. However, the reduction in foreign aid under the Trump administration has had an impact on these areas and others.


 The declaration also stated that "both parties concurred with enhancing the collaboration framework between the military forces of the two nations even further."


 China provided financial support for expanding the Ream Naval Base located on Cambodia’s southern coastline, sparking concerns that this might turn into a key base for the Chinese Navy within the Gulf of Thailand.


 The statement failed to address the core problem. Cambodia has consistently refuted any claims of an accord giving China exclusive rights or facilitating the creation of a foreign military installation.

 Shortly after concluding a phone call with South Korea’s acting President Han Duck-soo on Apr. 8, U.S. President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to highlight “one-stop shopping,” referencing cooperation in the shipbuilding sector, large-scale purchases of U.S.-produced liquefied natural gas (LNG), and joint investment in an Alaskan gas pipeline project. The move was seen as unusual for Trump, who had typically demanded that other countries put forward their own “cards” to negotiate lower tariffs—this time, he was the one offering proposals.


 Attention is now turning to whether South Korea, home to one of the world’s most competitive shipbuilding industries and one of the top three LNG importers alongside China and Japan, could play a role in reducing the mutual tariff rate on LNG, which currently stands at around 25%. Arriving in the United States on the same day, Jeong In-kyo, head of the Trade Negotiations Office at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, said, “We are competitive in areas such as shipbuilding and LNG infrastructure construction, so we plan to bring those topics to the negotiating table.”


 In shipbuilding, the urgency appears to lie on the American side. With China’s growing naval capabilities posing a challenge to the U.S. Navy, the U.S. is increasingly in need of shipbuilding and maintenance support and is reaching out to South Korean shipyards. The U.S. Navy plans to invest $1.075 trillion over the next 30 years to acquire 364 vessels and is even moving to revise related laws—unchanged in six decades—to allow allies to build its warships.


 South Korean shipbuilders are also looking to expand their presence in the U.S. market. On Apr. 7, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HD HHI) signed an agreement with Huntington Ingalls Industries, the largest military shipyard in the U.S., to collaborate on production automation, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) implementation, and workforce training. Hanwha Ocean, which acquired the Philly Shipyard in Philadelphia last June, plans to obtain certification for military shipbuilding by next year and enter the U.S. market for special-purpose vessels. “Although China and the U.S. were our top export destinations last year, we exported few ships to either country,” said a source from the shipbuilding industry. “This partnership could provide an opening into the U.S. market.”

Concurrently, increasing pressure advocates negotiating tariff cuts as part of these discussions. During his address at the National Assembly on April 9th, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Ahn Duk-geun stated, "It is essential we discuss with the United States about assessing the commercial feasibility of the LNG project along with potential cooperative strategies," signaling a careful stance towards the matter.


 Even though the brief shipping duration of only nine to eleven days is considered a plus for Alaskan LNG, doubts persist regarding the project’s viability. Concerns have emerged about rushing into significant commitments like purchasing substantial amounts of LNG or joining the 1,300-kilometer pipeline initiative prematurely. South Korea’s state-run gas company, Kogas, currently grapples with financial difficulties, complicating efforts to gather the necessary funds for this multibillion-dollar endeavor estimated at around $44 billion.

Simultaneously, it promotes international investments and partnerships with friendly nations, particularly singling out South Korea—a recent designation from Trump as a pivotal ally. However, this strategy brings about potential benefits along with significant hurdles for Korean shipyards, as the United States aims to lessen dependence on rival entities via collaborative efforts among partners.


 At the signing event in the Oval Office, Trump stated, "We will be investing heavily in ship construction," further noting, "We are significantly behind schedule. In the past, we could construct a ship daily, but currently, we barely manage to complete one annually despite our capability to do more."


 The executive order was initiated by National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, who has long championed the rejuvenation of U.S. shipbuilding capabilities. While serving as a congressman, he proposed bipartisan bills focused on enhancing shipyards and ports' infrastructures. It instructs the Secretary of Commerce to suggest motivations for shipbuilders located in friendly countries to make investments within the United States, thereby enhancing America’s capability in constructing ships.

 I dislike confrontations intensely. The mere suggestion of conflict could keep me awake at nights. Being a journalist has taught me to listen more than speak, probing softly without ever raising my voice or appearing judgmental externally. Nonetheless, for an extended period—until fairly lately—I found myself embroiled in intense political debates with some acquaintances and relatives from time to time.


 The trigger would typically be a casual remark regarding, for instance,
 renewable energy
 , the portrayal of Boris Johnson or the
 #MeToo movement
 Wine frequently graced their gatherings. Swearing and personal attacks were uncommon, yet they invariably descended into a recognizable pattern: escalating noise levels, sharpened tones, fumbling over half-remembered facts, conceding that "this conversation isn’t getting us anywhere," only to dive back in again regardless.


 In time, both parties might come to see the pointlessness of our conflict and shift towards more secure topics for discussion, without either side claiming victory or achieving much else. Alternatively, we may completely disengage from this battlefield around the dining table, littered as it is with ineffective quips and discarded Quality Street wrappers. On occasion, I found myself uttering phrases such as, "It's beneficial to engage in these discussions," only to instantly feel remorseful about doing so.


 At some point over the last year or so, I made up my mind to stop struggling. I often come across stories of families and friends who are irreparably broken. I've witnessed this firsthand. I believe my natural inclination towards mediation might have stopped lasting harm within my own circles. However, if disputes continue without any chance of being resolved, then why bother? Engaging in such conflicts just leads to tension and resentment. I’d rather not deal with that.

 Whenever triggers arise, I restrain myself by shifting topics or dismissing uncomfortable remarks with a laugh. I might respond with phrases such as: "Yes, it certainly is complicated," or: "This situation really is quite messy!"


 It’s not surprising that ever more polarised politics these days are straining friendships and family ties. Brexit, Trump, the climate and cost of living crises, as well as widening gaps in generational thinking, have bred resentment and entrenchment. I feel like we have become more suspicious of the morals and motivations of those we disagree with.


 I also think we tend to clash with the person we think sits across the aisle or the dinner table, assuming that they are more extreme in their views and political leaning than perhaps they are. Ad hominem arguments are even less effective when one’s true adversary isn’t actually in the room.


 There is merit in testing our beliefs, outside our bubbles, but there are ways to do that without threatening close relationships. Ducking out may look cowardly, not least when the stakes feel so high. I prefer to see myself as a conscientious objector. I try to look for common ground, rather than the battleground, and try harder to understand where people are coming from along the way. At the risk of sounding virtuous, it feels good. This approach was considered atypical for Trump, who usually insisted that other nations present their bargaining chips to secure reduced tariffs; this instance saw him presenting various offers instead.


 All eyes are now focused on whether South Korea, known for having one of the most competitive shipbuilding sectors globally and being among the top three liquefied natural gas (LNG) importing nations along with China and Japan, might contribute to lowering the current bilateral tariff rate on LNG, which hovers around 25%. On the very same day he arrived in the U.S., Jeong In-kyo, who leads the Office of Trade Negotiations at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, stated, "Given our strengths in fields like shipbuilding and constructing LNG infrastructure, we intend to introduce these subjects during negotiations."


 The sense of urgency seems to be more pronounced on the American side when it comes to shipbuilding. As China enhances its naval power, presenting a significant challenge to the U.S. Navy, the United States urgently requires additional shipbuilding and maintenance assistance and is turning towards South Korea for this purpose. Over the next three decades, the U.S. Navy intends to allocate $1.075 trillion with the aim of acquiring 364 ships. They are also considering changes to legislation from the last sixty years to enable allied nations to construct their warships.


 South Korean shipbuilders aim to broaden their footprint in the American market. On April 7, HD Hyundai entered into a pact with Huntington Ingalls Industries—the leading naval yard in the US—to cooperate on enhancing production automation, integrating robotics and AI technologies, as well as developing employee training programs. Following its acquisition of the Philly Shipyard in Philadelphia back in June, Hanwha Ocean intends to secure certification for defense vessel construction by next year and break into the specialized maritime segment within the US. He also noted that both Israel and the U.S. aim to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear arsenal. Despite this alignment of objectives, Netanyahu previously spearheaded attempts to convince Trump to withdraw from the accord negotiated during Obama's presidency in 2015, which was later abandoned by the U.S. under Trump in 2018.


 The Israeli leader, who is renowned for his hardline stance towards Iran and previous advocacy for military action, expressed openness to a diplomatic accord similar to the arrangement made by Libya with global powers back in 2003. However, that particular pact required Libya’s former ruler Muammar Gaddafi to relinquish his covert nuclear programme entirely. In contrast, Iran maintains that its nuclear activities, which have been declared to the International Atomic Energy Agency, must be allowed to proceed.

 Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has cautioned global leaders against remaining indifferent following a Russian air raid that struck his hometown of Kryvyi Rih, resulting in 18 fatalities.


 In his nighttime video message on Saturday, Zelensky stated that this strike represents one of the most tragic episodes for Kryvyi Rih,


 On Saturday morning, the president provided further information regarding the nine children who lost their lives due to the attack. Among those who died were 3-year-old Tymofij, 7-year-old Arina, and 9-year-old Herman, as stated by Zelensky on X.


 Nine individuals also lost their lives when a Russian ballistic missile struck the southeastern city of Kryvyi Rih, succeeded by a drone assault, according to Zelensky.


 Zelensky stated that the attack struck a regular street within a residential neighborhood containing a playground, stores, and a restaurant. According to him, 62 individuals were wounded, among them 12 children, and several remain in serious condition.


 The President of Ukraine expressed gratitude to foreign ministers and embassies for their expressions of sympathy following Friday’s attack. Nevertheless, he mentioned that the reaction from the US embassy was “unexpectedly disheartening.”


 "They are even afraid to say the word 'Russian' when talking about the missile that killed children," Zelensky wrote.


 On a post on X, the U.S. ambassador to Kyiv, Bridget Brink, conveyed her shock over the incident where "a ballistic missile hit close to a playground and restaurant in Kryvyi Rih."
