'Professor' G-Dragon has penned a new chapter of history.

On September 9th, the Innovate Korea 2025 event took place at the headquarters of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) located in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. Notably, G-Dragon participated in the event as a visiting professor of mechanical engineering at KAIST.

G-Dragon is collaborating with KAIST to blur the lines between art and science and to conceptualize a new platform using cutting-edge technology like AI avatar robots. "I never imagined transmitting music into space, but I am thrilled at the prospect of my song potentially reaching an unidentified listener someday. If emotions felt on Earth could find their way back to another person’s heart after traveling through the cosmos, it would provide profound solace having traversed vast distances."

G-Dragon launched 'Home Sweet Home' into space, collaborating with Taeyang and Daesung from Big Bang. He mentioned, "'This song evokes nostalgia as it talks about home. Having the group involved makes it even more special, plus imagining Big Bang venturing through the cosmos added an extra layer of enjoyment,' he explained when discussing why he chose this particular track."

G-Dragon’s cosmic audio initiative stems from a partnership between his company, Galaxy Corporation, and KeyEast, connecting directly with NASA's SETI program. This endeavor involves sending music—such as tracks by the British rock group The Beatles and the American hip-hop artist Missy Elliott—into outer space. Notably, G-Dragon stands out as the pioneering figure in South Korea to undertake such an effort. Specifically, this venture marks the realization of Entertech, aimed at facilitating communication across dimensions with extraterrestrial life forms.

As G-Dragon celebrated, he observed a four-legged robot moving rhythmically to one of his popular tracks. He plans to delve into fresh musical territories by experimenting with the fusion of artificial intelligence and showbusiness.

G-Dragon mentioned, "Starting last year, my responsibilities and pressures as a musician have grown significantly. Despite not having pursued studies in science formally, I've been greatly inspired as a creator through observing narratives crafted by artificial intelligence systems. Drawing inspiration from what you love can provide immense energy. Should you identify issues instead of solutions and continually engage with intriguing ideas, they swiftly transform into tangible realities."
