
ABU DHABI, 19th March, 2025 (WAM) -- The emirate of Digital Dubai has entered into a strategic pact with Microsoft aimed at enhancing the expertise and abilities of governmental staff in the fields of artificial intelligence technology and its practical implementations.
This aligns with the overall artificial intelligence strategy for Dubai Emirate.
This initiative seeks to cultivate a knowledge-based and practically-focused mindset throughout all governmental departments within this crucial sector. This approach will boost creativity and propel the establishment of a digital knowledge-centric economy and community, aligning with the guidance provided by the insightful leadership.
This program includes a training course divided into three pathways. The initial pathway, known as the IT Developers Pathway, caters to individuals from various backgrounds such as staff members who have foundational technology understanding aiming to enhance their artificial intelligence capabilities, along with seasoned programmers, statisticians, team leaders, technical gurus, human resources personnel, and both information technology and business consultants.
The second track titled 'AI for All' seeks to enhance employees’ skills in artificial intelligence technology through an introduction to AI’s background, methodologies, upcoming developments, and its influence across different sectors. Accessible via the Learning Management System (LMS), this course covers these essential aspects.
The third track is designed for executives and concentrates on AI-related material aimed at organizational leaders.

For us to accomplish these goals, we pledge to fortify collaborations with top-tier entities within this sector—both domestically and internationally.”
The collaboration with Microsoft marks an important move towards our objective, promoting a knowledge-based and practically focused environment across governmental bodies. Through strengthening skills in artificial intelligence and various related areas, we are establishing the foundation for a digital knowledge-centric economy and community. This effort closely aligns with and backs the bold targets set out in Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33.
Naim Yazbeck, who leads Microsoft UAE as their General Manager, expressed his enthusiasm about partnering with Digital Dubai to advance skill-building efforts and strengthen government employees' abilities throughout the UAE. By doing so, they aim to maximize the benefits of AI technology. This project marks an important move towards improving digital competencies through specialized courses designed for software developers, industry experts, and leaders. It aims to cultivate a spirit of creativity and enhance Dubai’s position in the digital landscape.
