PUTRAJAYA: As part of the truce deal between Israel and Gaza, Malaysia will closely track the movement of 15 Palestinians set to relocate to the nation, according to government spokesperson Fahmi Fadzil.

"There will be stringent enforcement by security agencies, and their (the Palestinians') activities will have certain conditions," he stated following today’s Cabinet meeting.

Fahmi stated that Foreign Minister Mohamod Hasan had explained that the government was still not at the stage where they could initiate the procedure for bringing the Palestinian group to Malaysia.

He mentioned that the choice to include the 15 Palestinians was a component of an understanding achieved amongst members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. This pact was intended to bolster peace negotiations and a truce in Gaza.
