On April 8, Pakistan announced that the Lahore Digital Arts Festival (LDF), The Little Art, and the Beaconhouse National University’s (BNU) School of Visual Arts & Design have entered into an agreement to host "Women vs. Machines." This pioneering exhibit will delve into the convergence of gender dynamics, technological advancements, and athletic pursuits.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed by Quddus Mirza, who serves as the Interim Head of Department at SVAD, BNU, and Umair Mushtaq, acting as the Interim Director of The Little Art. This signing represents an important move towards promoting cross-disciplinary cooperation between artistic and educational organizations within Pakistan.
The Women vs. Machines exhibit marks the inaugural presentation in LDF’s 2025-26 program lineup, uniting prominent female digital creators and sports figures for an exceptional cross-discussion encompassing performances, visual arts, and social advocacy. This showcase, spearheaded by producer Najam-Ul Assar and curated by Sarah Rajper, Rohma Khan, and Fatima Butt, collaborates closely with the UNESCO Chair on Inclusion via Art, chaired by Rashid Rana. The event receives backing from the Institut Francais within the framework of Novembre Numérique, alongside contributions from the French Embassy in Pakistan, Alliance Française de Lahore, and Beaconhouse National University.
