
On May 31, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari stated that maintaining present levels of political, defense, and economic stability is crucial for Pakistan’s progress and well-being as well as for securing a better future. He emphasized that unity among all democratic factions working collaboratively and reaching agreements would be essential toward achieving this aim. These remarks were made during an interaction with provincial representatives from the PPP and Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan held at the Governor House.
The group that met with the President was headed by former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and comprised several key figures including General Secretary of the PPP Central Punjab Syed Hassan Murtaza, Provincial Secretary for Information Shahzad Saeed Cheema, Chaudhry Aslam Gul, Mehr Irshad Sial, and others.
