 These are just some of the numerous reports from Ukrainian troops who credit the M2A2 Bradley – famously associated with the 47th Mechanized Brigade – for saving their lives against threats like landmines, drone attacks, anti-tank missiles, and machine gun fire from Russian forces.

 Ukraine has been equipped with M2A2 Bradley ODS infantry fighting vehicles from the USA, units that have seen action during the Gulf War. This model represents a substantial upgrade over the original iteration introduced in the 1970s.

 The modifications led to the A2 variant no longer being amphibious because of its increased weight at 27 tonnes. Upgrades during the '90s entailed fitting advanced optoelectronic systems featuring high-resolution thermal imagers along with a laser rangefinder.


 Despite the fact that the Bradley's weight varies significantly from heavier infantry fighting vehicles like the CV90 or Puma, which tip the scales at nearly 40 tonnes, it still offers outstanding protection for its crew of three and a squad of seven soldiers.

 The standard armor provides defense against attacks from heavy machine guns such as the KPW caliber 14.5×114 mm, and the frontal armor is capable of enduring hits from 30 mm shells discharged by 2A42 cannons. Moreover, the Bradley can also feature BRAT explosive reactive armor, greatly enhancing its resilience against assaults from shoulder-fired anti-tank systems and unmanned aerial vehicles.

 The primary weapon system is an M242 Bushmaster autocannon with a caliber of 25mm. It fires both armor-piercing and high explosive incendiary M792 HEI-T ammunition at a rate of 200 rounds per minute, effectively engaging targets within a range of up to three kilometers. Furthermore, there’s a dual launcher designed for BGM-71F (TOW 2B) anti-tank guided missiles. These missiles have the capability to neutralize enemy tanks from distances as far as 3.7 kilometers by targeting their weaker top armor.

 Nonetheless, this is an outdated system necessitating missile guidance all the way till impact and can only be employed when stationary.  Based on an analysis conducted by the Foundation for Defence of Democracies—a U.S.-based research organization—Turkey has the potential to utilize its domestically developed Hisar-O and Hisar-U medium-range air-defense systems, along with the extended-range Siper air-defense system capable of engaging adversary aircraft from distances up to 200 kilometers.


 This kind of operation might make ongoing Israeli attacks more complicated, as they target alleged significant weapons caches from the Assad era that could represent a future strategic risk. Since December, Israel has carried out such assaults on suspected weapon storage sites and military installations in Syria numerous times, amounting to hundreds of strikes.


 Similar to Israel, NATO member Turkey boasts a sophisticated indigenous defense sector and is emerging as a significant exporter of cutting-edge weaponry—a sharp contrast to the outdated and largely obsolescent arms possessed by Syria’s previous government.


 In the early stages of the conflict that began in Syria back in 2011, the country was equipped with an extensive air-defense system comprising Soviet (and subsequently Russian) radars and missile systems. This robust setup caused concern among Western defense strategists who feared it might complicate plans for establishing a "no-fly zone" aimed at preventing airstrikes by the Assad government against civilians.


 The no-fly zone failed to come into existence, even though NATO carried out significant attacks against the Syrian regime in April 2018. Instead of this proposed measure, Syria's air defense system quickly deteriorated due to the ongoing civil conflict and was largely obliterated during multiple strikes led primarily by Israel, which were often intended to stop shipments of weapons from Iran.

By leveraging the strong propulsion of these munitions along with the swiftness and elevation of the delivering aircraft, they achieve remarkable speeds and extended ranges.


 However, even though aeroballistic missiles have successfully overcome S-300 systems in Iran, their effectiveness remains unproven when faced with land-based air-defense networks equipped with AESA radar technology.


 Although it remains unclear how much Turkey and Israel want to prevent a significant confrontation, they might resort to harassing and impeding each other’s military activities using their sophisticated electronic warfare tools. This kind of behavior has historical precedence in Syria.

 이날 백악관에서 피트 헤그세스 국방장관과 함께 기자회견을 연 트럼프 대통령은 “엄격하고 철저한 경쟁 끝에 미 공군은 차세대 전투기 사업자로 보잉을 선정할 예정”이라고 말했다.


 트럼프 대통령은 1980년대에 개발돼 현재 운용 중인 세계 최강 F-22 등 5세대 전투기를 이을 6세대 전투기의 명칭을 ‘F-47’로 정했다고 전했다.


 그러면서 “47은 아름다운 숫자”라고 덧붙였다.


 미국의 제47대 대통령인 트럼프는 자신의 대통령 재임 순번을 따 전투기 명칭을 ‘F-47’로 명명한 것으로 보인다.

 미 공군은 제6세대 첫 전투기인 F-47을 2030년대 중반쯤 실전 배치할 목표인 것으로 알려졌다.


 전투기 가격은 현재 8000만 달러(약 1172억원)에 달하는 F-35보다 훨씬 비쌀 것으로 예상된다.

 미 공군은 “F-47은 전례 없는 ‘성숙도’(maturity)를 갖췄다. F-22는 현존 최고의 공중우세 전투기고 현대화를 거쳐 성능이 더욱 향상될 것이지만, F-47은 세대를 뛰어넘은 도약이 될 것”이라고 내다봤다.

 Tentang Tu-22M3
</h3>

 Tu-22M3 merupakan pesawat bom strategis dengan jarak tempuh panjang yang melakukan perdananya pada tahun 1977 dan diperkenalkan secara resmi ke dalam layanan pada tahun 1989 pasca beberapa peningkatan desain. Produksinya berakhir pada tahun 1993 untuk unit terakhirnya. Kendaraan udara ini dikendalikan oleh empat awak dan mampu memuat sampai tiga rudal jelajah jenis Kh-22 atau Kh-32. Ukuran fisik dari pesawat tersebut mencakup panjang tubuh sebesar 42,45 meter, tinggi 11,05 meter, serta lebar sayap yang bisa berubah bergantung kepada modus operasionalnya.


 Didukung oleh dua mesin NK-25, Tu-22M3 menghasilkan tenaga 14.500 kilogram gaya thrust saat operasional biasa dan bisa meningkat menjadi 25.000 kilogram gaya thrust ketika menggunakan afterburner. Pesawat ini mampu menempuh jarak hingga 7.000 kilometer tanpa perlu diisi bahanbakar ulang serta dapat melaju sejauh kira-kira 2.400 kilometer pada beban penuh.

 On Wednesday, the U.S. military released a video providing a seldom-seen glimpse of an air-to-air engagement over the Red Sea. The footage depicts American fighter jets neutralizing Houthi drones using inexpensive, precision-guided rockets that cost considerably less than advanced air-to-air missiles.
 
 
 The popular segment showcases an affordable method for U.S. aircraft to
 take down Houthi drones
 , which have persistently threatened alongside missiles for more than a year now.
 
 
 U.S. Central Command, which is responsible for
 Middle East operations
 , stated on Wednesday that a U.S. fighter jet intercepted a single Houthi assault drone with APKWS laser-guided rockets. Video evidence shows both drones detonating over the sea.
 
 
 The AGR-20 FALCO Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System, known as APKWS, transforms Unguided Hydra 70 2.75-inch rockets into precise weaponry by adding laser-guidance kits. These rockets measure almost 19 inches in length and under 3 inches in diameter, rendering them very slender.
 
 
 Gen. David Allvin, the Air Force Chief of Staff, said the APKWS costs just $35,000 a piece — a fraction of one of the air-to-air missiles that could have been used instead to take down the drone. For instance, he said, the AIM-9 missile costs around $500,000, while the AIM-120 is more than double that at around $1 million.

 The cost of the rockets is more closely aligned with the price tag of a Houthi drone, which is likely in the range of tens of thousands of dollars. Officials have said that using an expensive missile to intercept this kind of threat is on the wrong side of the cost curve.
 
 
 "More savings. More lethality. More Air Force," Allvin wrote on social media on Wednesday.
 
 
 CENTCOM did not disclose when or where the engagement occurred, nor did it say what aircraft used the APKWS to shoot down the Houthi drones. These rockets can be fired from a range of aircraft. A US official

 The War Zone earlier this year that US Air Force F-16s had used the rockets against Houthi drones.
 
 
 Years earlier, the Air Force tested the air-to-ground rockets as a cheaper air-to-air kill solution.
 
 
 The footage comes amid a
 fresh campaign of US airstrikes
 against the Houthis in Yemen. The Trump administration has vowed to intensify its efforts to deter the rebel group from attacking military and civilian vessels transiting key Middle East shipping lanes.
 
 
 The new campaign began on Saturday, with CENTCOM saying that it had "initiated a series of operations consisting of precision strikes against Iran-backed Houthi targets across Yemen to defend American interests, deter enemies, and restore freedom of navigation."

 Air Force Lt. Gen Alexus Grynkewich, the director of operations for the Joint Staff, said Monday that the initial wave of strikes hit over 30 Houthi targets at multiple locations in Yemen, including training sites, drone infrastructure, weapons storage facilities, and command centers.
 
 
 Grynkewich told reporters at a briefing that the operation extended into Sunday and Monday and would continue for several days "until we achieve the president's objectives."
 
 
 CENTCOM has published footage this week showing flight operations aboard the
 USS Harry S. Truman
 — the latest US aircraft carrier to see combat against the Houthis — as well as missile launches from warships in its strike group.
 
 
 And President Donald Trump has suddenly taken an aggressive approach to the
 Houthi conflict
 after a period of relative quiet in the Red Sea. He has vowed to keep striking the rebels and even threatened to go after Iran, their main supporter and provider of military assistance.
 
 
 "Tremendous damage has been inflicted upon the Houthi barbarians, and watch how it will get progressively worse — It's not even a fair fight, and never will be. They will be completely annihilated!" Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform on Wednesday.

 Kapal-kapal bertipe Hamina sudah lama menjadi bagian penting dari armada Angkatan Laut Finlandia sejak permulaan dekade 2000-an. Memiliki ukuran 51 meter dalam hal panjang dan berat mencapai 274 ton, serta dilengkapi dengan mobilitas superior, kapal ini dibuat secara spesifik untuk menghadapi tantangan operasi di air dangkal dan wilayah kepulauan negara tersebut.
