Skaik Celebrates Game-Changing Partnership Between HotelPlanner Tour and Emirates Golf Federation

 The UAE national team player Ahmad Skaik is enthusiastically getting ready for his comeback at the HotelPlanner Tour’s (previously known as the Challenge Tour) two consecutive events in the UAE next month, which marks a crucial stage in his journey towards becoming a professional golfer.


 For the third successive year, the DP World Tour’s premier developmental tour will be hosted in the UAE, featuring two major events organized jointly by the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF).


 The action begins with the UAE Challenge taking place from April 10-13 at Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club, marking the first time this venue hosts an event sanctioned by the European Tour Group. Following that, the tour moves to Abu Dhabi for the Abu Dhabi Challenge, held at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club from April 17-20.


 These consecutive tournaments serve as platforms for emerging talents and champions from the DP World Tour striving to return to the international golf scene. Additionally, they significantly contribute to nurturing UAE National Team members, alongside local professional and amateur golfers based in the UAE.


 This advancement has been facilitated by the EGF’s longstanding collaboration with the European Tour group, ensuring 30 competition slots for UAE players across these two tournaments. This effort extends the European Tour group’s dedication to fostering golf development in the UAE up till at least 2032.


 Over the past two years, Skaik has significantly benefited from these opportunities and will once again participate with other members of the UAE National Team, such as Sam Mullane, Jonathan Selvaraj, Rayan Ahmed, Mohammed Skaik, and Nayl Cherrat.


 "The collaboration has proven extremely beneficial," stated Skaik.


 I sense improvement each time I participate in the HotelPlanner Tour — my character develops, and I gain confidence believing that someday I could compete and triumph there. The participants in this tour tend to be more precise, commit fewer errors, and maintain greater consistency. It feels as though I am progressing towards that level. All I need to do is continue training and stick with what works for me; perhaps then I might achieve victory at both the HotelPlANNER Tour and eventually on the DP World Tour.


 Coming face-to-face with top-tier competitors has significantly shaped Ahmad Skaik’s path as he aims to achieve his dream of becoming a pro, which might happen before the year ends after participating in the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship held in the UAE.


 In last month's 2025 Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Golf Championship held at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in Saudi Arabia, this talented 27-year-old secured both individual and team gold medals for the UAE. He achieved an unprecedented score of 270 strokes, which was 18 under par, setting a new standard for the lowest tally ever recorded in the tournament’s annals. This remarkable feat also marked the biggest victory gap seen yet in the individual competition segment.


 This significant accomplishment was built upon the solid base of invaluable experience obtained through participating in 12 HotelPlanner Tour events during the last couple of years.


 Due to the EGF’s swapping of competition places with other golf organizations, Emirati athletes such as Skaik have had the opportunity to participate in HotelPlanner Tour competitions across the globe, thereby increasing their visibility and refining their abilities on an international platform.


 Sking mentioned that participating in these activities always assists him in staying ahead.


 I am determined to put in lots of effort and approach these events with confidence so that I can perform competitively. Whenever I'm playing at my best, I crave even more action—I truly enjoy having three or four forthcoming HotelPlANNER Tour starts because they allow me to continuously improve each week.


 Next month’s double-header on the HotelPlanner Tour will offer more than just high-level competition for the EGF’s players - it will also mark a new chapter for two of the federation’s newly appointed full-time rules officials.


 The Thai twin sisters Sasinun and Sasikarn Tungbenjapol are set to appear for the first time on the HotelPlanner Tour. They bring with them extensive experience gained from serving as officiating referees at various tours including the Thai LPGA Tour, Ladies European Tour, and Asian Tour.


 Their notable qualifications also encompass refereeing for the R&A during the 2022 Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship, which took place at Siam Country Club in Thailand.

 AUGUSTA, Ga. — Asterix Talley missed seeing the ball go in when she made an eagle on her first hole at Augusta National Golf Club. However, the enthusiastic reaction from the spectators conveyed what had happened. The 16-year-old quickly lifted her hands above her head in joyful triumph as she looked toward the skies.


 “Even as her dad I can’t tell if she’s happy or sad,” said her father, James, earlier in the week at Champions Retreat. “You don’t see her out there fist-pumping. I was like, was that good or was it bad? I don’t know. It’s always on the same plane.”

 Even with birdies on two out of the last three holes, she has achieved remarkable success. Having won at the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball and reached the finals in two USGA events last year—the U.S. Women’s Amateur and the U.S. Girls’ Junior—her résumé closely mirrors what Rose Zhang accomplished at such a tender age.


 Beth Daniel, an LPGA and World Golf Hall of Fame member, coached Talley during last year’s Junior Solheim Cup and described her skills as exceptional.

 Daniel remarked, “She possesses an extraordinary level of determination to triumph,” adding, “It’s not something you encounter frequently among many athletes; such qualities appear only occasionally.”

 Talley possesses the skills needed to compete on the LPGA currently. She boasts the distance, composure, and eagerness to learn and put in hard work that are essential for success at the higher level.


 One year back, she arrived in Augusta and informed the media that her objective was to reach the professional ranks at the earliest opportunity.


 "To become number one," she stated.


 Now that she has gained even greater national recognition and visibility, her stance has changed. She is now expressing a desire to pursue higher education.


 I believe this will be an excellent experience for me," remarked Talley following her second ANWA appearance where she closed with a score of 68. "It will provide me with the opportunity to be part of a team consistently. Teamplay is something I enjoy immensely, as well as the atmosphere it creates, and I feel this will offer me tremendous learning.


 Last summer, Talley defeated world top-ranked player Lottie Woad in singles during the Curtis Cup and contributed to leading Team USA to triumph at the Junior Solheim.


 Talley’s dad says she enjoys school and maintains a 4.3 GPA. Unlike several of her classmates who attend classes virtually, Talley attends Chowchilla High School in person five days a week, from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Many of her acquaintances are unaware of what she gets up to during her trips.


 Although Talley may seem older than her age when competing in the ring, she is simply a typical 16-year-old outside of it. Unlike others who remained in Georgia for an additional week following the Sage Valley Invitational to prepare for the ANWA, Talley returned to California after the event concluded so she could attend classes.

 During last year's U.S. Women's Open at Lancaster Country Club, Talley remained competitive throughout the initial days following her scores of 70 and 71. She quickly became a favorite among the media as a result.


 When she delivered that fantastic interview at the U.S. Open that everybody adored, I must be honest—I don't really know that girl," her dad remarked dryly. "I usually pick her up from school and attempt to gather details from her—unless it’s a simple yes or no response, I end up with nothing.


 James, a corrections officer who has recently faced significant challenges, mentioned that he first heard about the World Amateur Golf Ranking roughly eight months ago. He often receives inquiries regarding Asterisk’s prospects and supports the notion of her attending college, drawing parallels to how Zhang pursued education before embarking on her career path for at least a few years.


 I don't believe any harm could come from it," James stated. "If she wishes to join the tour, it will still be an option; however, college won't wait.


 People often said that Zhang's time at college golf might be detrimental to her. This bothered her quite a bit.


 “I wanted to push myself to the limit,” she said on the eve of her 2023 Augusta National Women’s Amateur victory.


 Only a few LPGA players have claimed victories as teens – Paula Creamer, Morgan Pressel, Lexi Thompson, Lydia Ko, Ariya Jutanugarn, and Brooke Henderson. Talley’s career seems to be following a comparable route. She might secure wins at the professional level prior to entering college, though currently, she still has various choices ahead.


 There’s a sense of individuality and personal growth that develops during college, which cannot be replicated when touring with an entourage that often comprises family members.

 Talley mentioned she has no idea how much she's grown over the last year, but her dad stated that she's increased by 4 inches in just eight months.

Woods began with a sluggish performance, scoring an initial 78 points and ending up at six over par for the day. On Saturday morning, Woods made a promising start despite encountering trouble after a bogey on the third hole; nonetheless, he managed to secure three birdies midway through the course, putting him two under par. Unfortunately, the latter part of the track was particularly tough for him, resulting in four bogeys and one double bogey. This led to a final score of 75, leaving him three over par overall.


 United States amateur golf phenom Miles Russell finished first in the boys division, shooting 9-under at the event.

 The tee times had been advanced by roughly three hours in preparation for the anticipated storms. Golfers were dispatched from both split tees and groups of three.

 वियतनाम की सोन डूंग 5 किलोमीटर लंबी है। यह नेशनल पार्क भी है। इस गुफा में घास, जंगल, पहाड़ और नदी — सभी चीजें देखी जा सकती हैं। ऐसे मध्यरात्रि के समय गुफा आधे ढंग से ठंथवी लगती है। झड़प की ओर ध्यान देने वाले लोग यहाँ पर अनुभव करना पसंद करते हैं। न्यूजीलैंड की वेटोमो गुफाएं रात्रि में चमकती हैं, जिससे यह छोटी-छोटी तारों की तरह दिखती है। इस विशेषता ने उसे अद्वितीय बना दिया है। वहीं, इस गुफा में बायोल्यूमिनसेंट नामक कीड़े रहते हैं जो रात्रि में चमकते हैं। इटली की ब्लू ग्रोटो नीली प्रकाश के लिए और रोमन मैरिन टेंपल के लिए जानी जाती है। इस गुफा में राणा नहाते थे। चाहे जितनी नीली रोशनी भी ऑझले फैली हो, वहीं यह गुफा अपनी विशिष्टता से अद्वितीय बनाती है।
