 GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) — Authorities have taken into custody a man from Grand Junction who is accused of engaging in an online sex offense.


 The Grand Junction Police Department acted upon information received from the Internet Crimes Against Children task force. The ICC reported that an IP address linked to Grand Junction was potentially involved in viewing content related to the exploitation of children.

 Following an inquiry, 28-year-old Samuel Farley was apprehended on Wednesday and taken into custody at the Mesa County Detention Facility for alleged crimes related to the internet sexual exploitation of a child.

 The US rapper Soulja Boy has been mandated to pay $4.25 million (£3.2 million) to a woman who alleged he sexually battered and abused her.


 In 2021, an unidentified woman filed a lawsuit against the celebrity, known professionally as DeAndre Cortez Way, alleging that he frequently sexually assaulted her, physically abused her, and at times held her captive after she was employed as his assistant.


 He had denied assaulting her and claimed their relationship was consensual. However, a jury in a civil case determined he was responsible for sexual battery, assault, and gender violence.


 The 34-year-old smiled serenely as the judgment was announced on Thursday.

 Outside the courthouse, he insisted on his innocence and stated that he would "dedicate himself to lodging an appeal and ensuring the truth comes to light."


 At the trial, Way rejected the claims of assaulting or sexually attacking her, describing the allegations as "revolting."


 However, after two days of discussions, the jury granted his accuser $4 million ($3 million) in compensatory damages along with an additional $250,000 (£200,000) in punitive damages.

 Soulja Boy has gained recognition for his lively party rap style, which produced chart-topping tracks such as "Crank That" (which reached No. 1 in the U.S.), "Kiss Me Through The Phone," and "PrettyBoySwag."


 In 2010, his career reached its height as Forbes magazine reported he made $7 million (£5.3 million). Since then, he has branched out into music production and video game development.


 As stated in legal papers, she began working as his aide in 2018 and they soon embarked on a personal affair.


 She stated that the abuse quickly ensued. The legal action charged him with striking and sexually assaulting her multiple occasions.


 In her statement, she mentioned that she had shed nearly half of her body mass while with him, reducing herself to approximately 6 stones (38 kilograms) before "I was able to escape from him."


 She shared with the court, 'I didn’t feel human at all anymore. I felt more like an animal.'


 She mentioned that she remained in the relationship due to Way threatening to harm her or her family, and also warned her that he would upload an explicit sexual video online if she decided to leave.


 Courtroom-displayed text messages revealed a complex portrait of their connection.


 Ways asked her to handle duties characteristic of an assistant role, such as arranging travel logistics or configuring computer hardware.


 However, at other instances, he sent her texts such as "I wish you died slowly," "May you contract coronavirus," and "I should have eliminated you," the court was told.

 During the proceedings, different messages were brought up where the woman messaged Way, “You tackled me and put pressure on my neck,” and also wrote, “I should have allowed you to strike me.”


 His attorney, Ronald Zambrano, contended that the hip-hop artist never refuted the claims.


 Nevertheless, he would apologize by sending messages like: "Baby return so we can have a serious conversation" and "Are you okay? I'm sorry, I love you. Please give me a call."


 At the trial, Way refuted the assertion that his accuser was ever employed by him. Rather, he stated that he provided her with accommodation in return for rolling cannabis for him.


 In his concluding statements, Way’s lawyer Rickey Ivie argued that the female accuser had fabricated her account and was driven by “envy, retaliation, and monetary benefit.”


 Even though Way was deemed responsible for sexual assault, he was exonerated regarding accusations of false imprisonment and constructive dismissal.

 A Turkish family consisting of three members along with three additional Turkish individuals received a combined sentence totaling 100 years in prison for their involvement in the crime.

 The court stated that these people conducted espionage activities on behalf of Mossad and collected sensitive data. According to the prosecution, this team was associated with Mossad’s “online operations” division and had been assigned to perform photographic surveillance of targets located in Turkey.

 It was alleged that Tumlucalı had been in touch with an Israeli intelligence agent known as "Jorg," who communicated through Skype. “Jorg” reportedly met with Tumlucalı in Vienna and Munich in 2011 and 2017 respectively.
 
 
 Tumlucalı apparently also had meetings with an intelligence officer called Gavin Alfron in Vienna and Frankfurt from 2017 through 2020, at which point Mossad supposedly ended his agreement.
 
 
 In addition to targeting Turkish entities for Mossad, Tumlucalı is also alleged to have conducted surveillance operations in Georgia and Germany. Furthermore, he is said to have provided Israel with "certain official documents obtained from Lebanon."
 
 
 Several of those under surveillance were citizens from Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and Azerbaijan.
 
 
 As per the charges laid out in the indictment, he was aided by his spouse Benan, stepdaughter Dila Sultan Şimşek, and his sister-in-law Berna Çetin throughout every operation.
 
 
 The document also stated that from 2014 to 2019, funds were transferred into his wife’s bank account. According to the indictment, in a single instance, Tumlucalı received an amount of 300,000 euros ($333,282).

 Armanta Lamont Tyler, aged 28 from Raleigh, has been ordered to serve at least four years and eleven months up to a maximum of five years and eleven months behind bars for the fatalities of Cornisha Shaw, 24, and Courtney Simms, 23, which occurred on October 28, 2022, according to legal papers.


 Shaw and Simms were killed and Tyler was seriously injured in the late-night crash, which occurred at 11:49 p.m. on Fayetteville Street near Timothy Avenue when the trio’s 2017 Audi ran off the road and hit a tree, The News & Observer

 An assistant principal at a middle school in central Florida stands accused of improper conduct involving a 13-year-old student.
 
 
 According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office (PCSO), Keiva Lark, a 53-year-old assistant principal at Lake Marion Creek Middle School, has been arrested and taken into custody at the county jail. She faces charges of lewd or lascivious conduct as well as committing a lewd act upon a student by someone in authority; these offenses are classified as second-degree felonies.
 
 
 The inquiry started on April 4 following the report of the incident by the school’s principal to law enforcement officials. Both the Polk County School Board and the Florida Department of Children and Families were informed about this matter as well, with Lark being put on administrative leave during the probe, stated the sheriff's department.
 
 
 As per the reports, the event took place after a student was referred to Lark’s office for tossing paper during class time. According to witnesses and the person involved, Lark asked the student to massage his feet, then proceeded to remove his footwear and positioned his legs over the student's lap. It is alleged that Lark criticized the student for improper foot-rubbing technique and showed them what they considered appropriate by rubbing the student’s arm and shoulder instead. Another staff member reportedly overheard Lark telling the student to “massage his feet as though he adored him” and made inappropriate comments about foreplay.
 
 
 A witness informed PCSO that Lark subsequently confessed to overstepping boundaries during the event. During a forensic interrogation, the victim disclosed that Lark had called him "Sexy Chocolate" in the school corridor.

 The dispute centers around whether Oakland County prosecutors improperly failed to disclose to Crumbley the presence of proffer agreements that were said to shield two key witnesses from facing charges related to their conduct prior to the November 30, 2021, shooting, provided they testified. Crumbley contends he had a right to this information; however, the prosecution claims they were under no duty to provide these agreements, asserting that no immunity was granted to the two witnesses.

 For the moment, most of what attracts attention revolves around the plea deals secured by prosecutors from two staff members at the school when they were assembling their landmark case in 2021 against James and Jennifer Crumbley. Last year marked the first time in American history where parents faced criminal charges related to a mass school shooting carried out by their own offspring.
 
 
 The prosecution secured those convictions with assistance from the two school witnesses who had entered into proffer agreements. These agreements ensured that their statements to investigators could not be used against them later. However, the defense only became aware of these agreements a week after James Crumbley’s conviction.
 The Free Press uncovered them and released an investigative report.
 
 
 Jennifer Crumbley was the first to use the proffer agreements as justification for seeking either a retrial or having her conviction overturned.
 In a filing submitted previously year.
 Her spouse quickly did the same.
 
 
 Oakland County Circuit Judge Cheryl Matthews has previously voiced reservations regarding how the prosecution managed the proffer agreements. She mentioned that when determining whether to grant new trials or invalidate the convictions, her sole consideration is this: "Do we currently have doubt about the validity of the verdicts?"
 
 
 Jennifer and James Crumbley
 created a historical record last year when individual juries found them guilty of unintentional manslaughter
 due to the deaths of four students slain by their offspring:
 Hana St. Juliana, aged 14; Tate Myre, aged 16; Justin Shilling, aged 17, and Madisyn Baldwin, also 17
 Additionally, six other students and a teacher sustained injuries.
 
 
 The Crumbley parents faced charges in individual trials for purchasing a firearm for their son, neglecting to store it safely, and not informing the school about it during an important meeting with administrators on the day of the shooting incident. Each parent is currently incarcerated, facing 10-15 years behind bars.
 
 
 The Crumbley family claims they were unaware of their son’s intentions to attack his school; they assert that he did not have unrestricted access to the firearm involved. They also state that the weapon, which was gifted to him prematurely for Christmas, was stored inside a dresser, unloaded, with the ammunition kept separately in another compartment.
 
 
 The person who carried out the shooting was 15 years old when this violent event occurred. Like the others mentioned, he is also challenging his verdict.

 Crumbleys: The jury was entitled to know that two school witnesses received protection
 </h2>
 
 The two educational administrators involved are ex-school counselor Shawn Hopkins and former Dean of Students Nicholas Ejak. These individuals faced controversy for allowing the attacker back into class even though they received numerous alerts regarding his conduct leading up to the tragedy. Additionally, they did not inspect his bag—which held the firearm—nor did they inquire with his family about potential access to guns, nor instruct them to bring him home following discovery of an unsettling sketch depicting a weapon, a person hemorrhaging, along with the chilling message: “The thoughts won’t cease. Assist me.”
 
 
 "The insistence of these individuals on entering into proffer agreements before engaging with the prosecutors suggests that neither party was willing to cooperate with the prosecution unless they were afforded some form of protection," contends Alona Sharon, who serves as James Crumbley’s appellate lawyer, in submitted legal papers.
 
 
 Although Hopkins and Ejak did speak to law enforcement officials on the day of the incident, it became evident afterward that their primary focus turned toward ensuring their personal safety. Their preoccupation with protecting themselves prompted them to seek legal representation and subsequently push for proffer agreements in return for the details they possessed," Sharon notes. "This court must recognize that without these signed proffer agreements, neither Hopkins nor Ejak were willing to take part in the trial proceedings or assist the prosecution voluntarily.
 
 
 The prosecution has refuted these claims, asserting that Ejak and Hopkins testified due to subpoenas rather than the proffer agreements. Furthermore, they argue that the Crumbleys were convicted solely based on their own conduct and failures, with no other factors involved.
 
 
 At an earlier hearing for Jennifer Crumble, Assistant prosecutor Marc Keast of Oakland County strongly criticized the defendant’s mother in open court.
 
 
 "He pointed out that she was responsible for these four fatalities... let nobody else pass judgment on her," Keast stated, alluding to the four students who lost their lives in the shooting.
 
 
 Keast also supported how the prosecution managed the trials and the proffer agreements.
 
 
 Keast stated that the prosecution did not commit any misconduct.
 
 
 He further emphasized a point that prosecutors have consistently made: The Crumbley family members were uniquely positioned to prevent this tragedy since they possessed crucial information that the school authorities lacked.
 
 
 "Jennifer Crumbley was aware of the circumstances. Jennifer Crumbley had the chance to bring him back home. She could have examined the backpack and taken her child away from school," Keast stated during the mother's hearing, pointing out that she failed to do so.
 
 
 As stated during the trial, the father also did not.
 
 
 "James Crumbley was afforded a just trial. Similar to his sister Jennifer Crumbley, we concur with the jury’s decision in this matter and feel it ought to be maintained," said Jeff Wattrick, a spokesperson for the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office, in an earlier statement.
 
 
 Ejak and Hopkins were the final individuals to encounter both the shooter and his parents prior to the incident taking place. During the court proceedings, testimonies revealed that the school counselor had been alerted several times by educators regarding concerning behaviors exhibited by the shooter just preceding the event: In class, he was found browsing bullet-related content on his phone and viewing footage showing an individual attacking others with gunfire. Most alarming was perhaps the ominous sketch of a firearm alongside the unsettling phrase “The thoughts won’t cease. Assist me.” drawn by him on his mathematics assignment paper.
 
 
 The parents were called to the counselor's office where they met with their son, along with Ejak and Hopkins. The school authorities informed them that their child seemed upset but assured them that there was no indication of self-harm or harm towards others. In conclusion, they suggested that keeping him in class among his peers would be more beneficial than having him isolated at home.
 
 
 The mother and father returned to work. Their boy resumed classes. After two hours, he discharged his initial round.
 
 
 The Crumbleys' newly appointed legal team argues that by keeping the proffer agreements hidden, the prosecutors prevented the defense from interrogating and possibly uncovering the "potential bias and motives" of the two school witnesses who were testifying in support of the prosecution.

The Supreme Court of Kenya has addressed a case where a man received a life sentence for sexually assaulting a minor, assessing if this punishment should instead be changed to a flat term of thirty (30) years.
 


 
 The Court pointed out that according to Section 8(2) of the Sexual Offences Act No. 3 of 2003, someone found guilty of committing defilement against a child eleven years old or younger must face a sentence of life imprisonment upon conviction.
 


 
 It was emphasized that a court decision changing life imprisonment to a fixed-term sentence would contravene the Kenyan Constitution.
 


 
 "According to the sentencing guidelines under the Sexual Offences Act, there is a mandatory minimum sentence that typically depends on thevictim's age; generally, the younger the victim, the harsher the punishment," stated the judgment partly.
 


 
 “Consequently, after the trial court confirmed that all elements of defilement were established beyond a reasonable doubt, as I previously stated in my ruling, there was no scope for the court to exercise discretion. The sole minimal compulsory sentence prescribed under the Sexual Offenses Act was life imprisonment.”

 Supreme Court Rejects Replacing Life Imprisonment with 30-Year Sentence
 
 
</h2>

 
 The decision comes after Evans Nyamari Ayako appeared before the Senior Principal Magistrate’s Court at Ogembo on July 18, 2011. He was charged with defilement according to Section 8(1) and Section 8(2) of the Sexual Offences Act, Cap 63A under Kenyan law.
 


 
 He was additionally faced with a different charge of performing an indecent act involving a child, as per Section 11(1) of the aforementioned legislation.

 Following the testimony from the prosecution's witnesses and after reviewing all submitted evidence, the trial court ruled against the Respondent, finding him guilty. Consequently, he was convicted and received a sentence of life imprisonment as stipulated under Section 8(2) of the Sexual Offenses Act.
 


 
 The High Court ruled that the lower court properly interpreted and applied the legislation to the circumstances of the case and consequently handed down the least severe punishment allowable as per Sections 8(1) and (2) of the Sexual Offences Act, namely life imprisonment.
 


 
 The court rejected the appeal and confirmed both the conviction and the punishment assigned to the respondent.

 Appellate Court Changes Lifetime Sentence to 30 Years
 
 
</h3>

 
 Nevertheless, the Court of Appeal subsequently reversed the life sentence and replaced it with a 30-year prison term, which began on July 18, 2011, when he initially appeared before the court.
 


 
 By determining that an indefinite life sentence contravenes Articles 27 and 28 of the Constitution, the Court of Appeal examined recent international legal trends concerning changing norms of human dignity and rights. This includes the worldwide movement toward eliminating or reformulating life imprisonment.
 


 
 The court reviewed procedures in nations including Namibia, Germany, South Africa, Mauritius, Spain, and Zimbabwe, along with rulings made by tribunals such as the European Court of Human Rights. These sources indicated that indefinite life terms were considered incompatible with human rights standards and constituted an act of cruelty and degradation.

 It similarly cited academic perspectives that characterize life imprisonment without the chance of release as a "living death sentence," "death by incarceration," "virtual death sentence," "lengthy death penalty," or "death sentence with no execution date." Additionally, it pointed out that numerous legal systems have shifted toward establishing specific terms for life sentences.
 


 
 Citing the reasoning employed in those legal systems, the Court of Appeal determined that life imprisonment qualifies as cruel and degrading treatment because of its indeterminate duration.
 


 
 Consequently, this decision permitted the challenge to the original sentence and replaced the life term with a fixed 30-year prison term.
 


 
 As a result, the respondent was instructed to serve a 30-year prison term starting from July 18, 2011, which is when he entered his plea.

 Justification by Supreme Court
 
 
</h4>

 
 Nevertheless, the Supreme Court noted that although the appellate court referred to municipal laws from different jurisdictions, it did not cite any precedent where a court had transformed a life sentence into a fixed-term sentence.
 


 
 The court further noted that it did not clarify how this conclusion would be consistent with Kenya's legal principles.
 


 
 "The court also breached Article 51 of the Constitution, which states that only Parliament has the authority to categorize an offense and stipulate the corresponding penalty," the decision continued.
 


 
 Specifically, Article 51(3) of the Constitution grants the Legislative body the responsibility to define how prisoners should be treated, encompassing decisions about parole eligibility periods, release conditions, and post-release oversight.
 


 
 The Appeals Court breached the doctrine of stare decisis by imposing a term sentence instead of life imprisonment, even though the legislature had not enacted such a change.
 


 
 The court restored the decision made by the High Court. To avoid any ambiguity, the respondent will be required to serve a life sentence as initially decreed by the Magistrates' Court.

On Wednesday, Justice Dehinde Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Lagos directed a traveler bound for the United States, Olusola Okunfulure, to surrender the $20,000 seized by the Nigerian Customs Service to the federal government.
 
 
 On March 28, 2025, Okunfulure was apprehended by NCS officers when he arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. This occurred during the passenger inspection process for an inbound trip to the United States, as he had failed to report carrying $20,000.
 
 
 Judge Dipeolu issued the forfeiture ruling following Okunfulure’s appearance before the court due to charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
 
 
 The prosecutor from the EFCC, Chineye Okezie, informed the court that Okunfulure perpetrated this offense on March 28, 2025.
 
 
 Nevertheless, Okunfulure admitted guilt to the single charge.
 
 
 After his statement, defense attorney Joel Ogundire spoke on Okunfulure’s behalf, requesting the court to blend leniency with justice and to return some of the funds to the defendant.
 
 
 Ogundire stated: "For over 15 years, he has been a devoted family member. His banking records indicate that he is involved in a lawful enterprise. After being cleared, he was presented with the declaration form."
 
 
 We have no objection to losing $20,000 out of the $30,000 as required by law.
 
 
 During the review of the case, the judge asked the EFCC to submit its evidence against Okunfulure. An EFCC representative, Felicia Paul, presented their findings and stated, "I am aware of the defendant. The Nigerian Customs Service apprehended him at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on March 28 as he was heading to America."
 
 
 He was apprehended with $30,000, an amount he neglected to report. He was then transferred to the commission along with the same sum of $30,000.
 
 
 Supporting the EFCC’s case, Justice Dipeolu found Okunfulure guilty and ordered three months of incarceration.
 
 
 Nevertheless, the judge gave back $10,000 to him.
 
 
 I have taken into account the appeal presented by the prisoner along with the acknowledgment of his respect for the court’s time and consideration of various extenuating circumstances.
 
 
 "I hereby direct the convicted individual to surrender the amount of $20,000 to the Federal Government of Nigeria and serve a prison term of three months," stated Justice Dipeolu.
 
 
 According to the charges filed by the EFCC, the convicted individual did not declare an amount of $20,000 out of $30,000 to the Nigerian Customs Service when going through Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja.
 
 
 The anti-corruption authority informed the court that the offense violated and was subject to punishment under Section 3(5) of the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.

 The head of Scotland's jails has told the families of two young people who took their own lives in prison that she believes crown immunity should be abolished.


 Theresa Medhurst said the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) should face the possibility of criminal prosecution over deaths in custody.


 Ms Medhurst made the comment during a meeting with the families of Katie Allan and William Brown, also known as William Lindsay, who both died by suicide at Polmont Young Offender's Institution in 2018.


 Under the law, the Crown, which includes the Scottish Prison Service, cannot be held criminally responsible for deaths in custody.


 The Scottish government said it has pursued a change in the law, but that it would require UK government approval.


 Last year a fatal accident inquiry (FAI) into the deaths of
 Katie Allan, 21, and William Brown, 16, made 25 recommendations
 , which were accepted by the SPS and Scottish government.


 The family’s attorney, Aamer Anwar, stated that the “stern and distressing” meeting with Ms. Medhurst on Wednesday was both challenging and emotionally taxing.


 Nevertheless, he emphasized that it was crucial Ms Medhurst had consented to abolishing crown immunity for the prison service.

 The Crown Office determined that a violation of the Health and Safety Act at the prison significantly contributed to the fatalities.
 However, it couldn't intervene because the SPS was shielded by the principle of crown immunity.


 Mr Anwar stated that the families will attempt to arrange a meeting with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer to advocate further for legal reform.


 He stated: "In cases where the SPS aligns with removing Crown immunity, and both the Scottish government and all opposition parties in the Scottish Parliament support this removal, the key issue becomes whether the UK government will follow through."


 He stated: “The upcoming step for these families, as well as several others whom we represent, involves having a discussion with Keir Starmer and the justice minister, since they hold the authority to make this happen.”


 Clearly, there is solidarity throughout Scotland, encompassing all institutions along with families, aimed at abolishing Crown immunity. This situation is deemed unacceptable.

 What is Crown immunity?
</h2>

 The doctrine of crown immunity asserts that laws generally do not bind the government unless explicitly stated.


 In essence, this implies that the state, encompassing governmental organizations and official entities like the prison service, along with certain times its staff or representatives, may receive protection against prosecution for crimes established through legislation.


 If someone passes away while being detained in a jail, the Crown cannot be deemed criminally liable for the deceased individual’s death.


 It does not protect them from civil liabilities, such as the

 In Scotland, Crown immunity might not shield prison officers or officials – for instance, if they get involved with a "personal communication device" like a mobile phone, whether by using, possessing, or providing one to an inmate.


 A clause within the Health and Safety at Work Act asserts that even when Crown Immunity is applicable, an individual may still face prosecution if they are responsible for causing a violation.


 Campaigners have long challenged the law, arguing that the public and private sectors do not operate on a level playing field.

 'We didn't feel demonised'
</h2>

 Ms Allan's mother, Linda, said the meeting was "very positive," adding it was the "beginning of a dialogue" with the SPS.


 She said: "For the first time
 we didn't feel demonised by the prison service
 , but we felt listened to, and we found that very restorative."


 Speaking after the meeting, Ms Medhurst said: "This was just an opportunity to meet personally with the families, to offer our apologies for their loss, the tragic loss of Katie and William, and to apologise for the failures of the past.


 "And to ensure that they understand we are committed and determined to not only action the recommendations that we have accepted in full, but to ensure that there is systemic change across the organisation, which will be impactful and lasting."


 The families met the Scottish government's justice secretary, Angela Constance, at Holyrood ahead of a statement to parliament last week.


 A representative from the Ministry of Justice stated: "The Lord Chancellor has been sent the letter from the Scottish cabinet secretary for justice and home affairs and will provide a response at an appropriate time."


 A Scottish government spokesperson added: "The Scottish government will continue to pursue the lifting of the SPS corporate Crown immunity under reserved health and safety law with the UK government.


 "All of the recommendations in his determination of the FAI into the deaths at Polmont YOI of Katie and William have been accepted and the work on these is being delivered at pace with progress closely monitored."

 A woman from Kissimmee stated that she now lives in constant fear following the mistaken release of her daughter’s murderer, who had only served a few months of his life sentence.


 Christina Grayson mentions that her daughter Delila had been dating Kathan Guzman. According to her, they connected at Poinciana High School before relocating to Georgia together.

 In 2022, when Delila was only 19 years old, Guzman was apprehended for choking her during a dispute and admitted to committing the crime. He was found guilty in October 2024.


 Grayson mentions that she felt relieved knowing he wasn’t planning to leave anytime soon, certainly not for many years.


 She stated, 'It felt like, okay, we returned home feeling assured,' but added, 'That’s not how things turned out.'


 On Tuesday, she received a phone call.


 She mentioned that due to a coding mistake, he was inadvertently made available to the public.


 The Clayton County Sheriff's Office informed WESH’s affiliated channel that Guzman's release occurred due to employees overlooking their duties. They had failed to notice the charges he was convicted under within an official court filing and instead encountered a motion indicating no prosecution should be pursued for a different charge.


 The district attorney issued a statement indicating that upon confirmation of the incorrect release, they immediately reached out to the victim's mother.


 Even though he was reached on April 8, Grayson thinks Guzman has been free since March 27, which is roughly halfway through his term.


 She expresses that she feels scared for her safety. She is hardly managing to get any rest at all.


 "Having checked the windows twice over five rounds each time and the doors half a dozen times along with every moving object, I decided to grab my firearm since it might have been him," Grayson stated.


 As reported by WESH’s counterpart in Atlanta, a representative from the sheriff's department mentioned that they chose not to inform the public about Guzman's release at first, as they did not want him to become aware that they were searching for him.


 Grayson mentioned that her concerns extend beyond just her own life.


 "You ought to be frightened. There's a risk someone could get injured, harmed, or even die," she stated.


 The U.S. Marshals Service has acknowledged their involvement in looking for Guzman.

 CADDODB Parish, La. (KSLA) — Authorities apprehended a man accused of domestic violence following a short pursuit on Thursday, April 10.


 According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, shortly after 6 p.m., deputies received information indicating that James Ray Culotta, aged 55—a person sought for domestic abuse involving strangulation—was seen in the area of 6500 block of Green Briar Lane in the north section of the parish.

 Upon their arrival, authorities state that Culotta attempted to flee by entering his vehicle but ended up driving off.  More than 50 years after a woman's remains were discovered on a cliff in Northern California, DNA tests have finally unraveled the secret of her identity.


 On 18 December 1966, Dorothy Jean Williams’s remains were found on a cliff in Tiburon, close to San Francisco, by an individual hunting who then alerted the officials.


 They couldn't pinpoint Williams' identity, despite estimating her age at the time of death to be somewhere between 45 and 60 years old. This information comes from Othram, the forensic genetic genealogy firm claiming their techniques cracked this long-standing mystery.


 Described as sporting a red dress and an off-white trench coat with red hair, Williams stood approximately 157cm tall and had a weight of around 47kg at the time her remains were found.


 Even though they couldn’t verify her identity back then, officials discovered that a woman fitting Williams’s profile had been spotted at a fire station roughly three months prior to when her remains were located, as stated in an earlier report by a regional newspaper.


 It is said that she informed the employees she was stuck with no funds for transportation and asked if she could stay at the station overnight. Upon their refusal, she departed.


 The autopsy estimated her time of death to be approximately three months before the discovery of her remains, described as "severely decomposed" when found, as mentioned in the archived news article provided by Othram.
