 A previous Scottish pole-vaulting champion, who advocated for significant welfare reforms within athletics, expresses contentment that the sport has become more secure following the adoption of her suggestions throughout the United Kingdom.


 Anna Gordon, who hails from Perth, faced rejection from several of her contemporaries following her allegations against her coach regarding sexual misconduct in 2013.


 The coach in question was acquitted in court; however, Scottish Athletics never conducted an internal investigation.


 After conducting an extensive examination of welfare procedures throughout the UK, British Athletics looked into the matter and imposed a lifetime ban on the coach in February. They also offered their apologies to all individuals affected by this issue.


 Scottish Athletics has likewise offered an apology after acknowledging they fell short for those who filed complaints.


 They rescinded the coach's honorary lifetime membership as well.


 When Anna, who later became the Scottish junior pole vaulting champion, was 16 years old, she filed her initial complaint.


 She stated that causing disruption was significant, and indeed, when I stirred things up, it led to considerable consequences.


 When I reached competitions, I was informed that I didn't belong because I wasn’t supporting the coaches, which apparently meant I had no right to be an athlete.


 She underwent media coaching and was instructed not to criticize the sport or Scottish Athletics.


 Once she abandoned the sport, she launched an initiative to ensure that athletes similar to herself were acknowledged and to advocate for better protection measures.


 In 2020, UK Athletics ordered an investigation into athlete well-being and has since embraced the suggestions made by advocates such as Anna.


 As part of the modifications, each associated athletics club is required to appoint a specific welfare officer. Additionally, criminal background checks must be conducted every three years for individuals working closely with children.


 Anna Gordon now feels justified and wishes to proceed.


 She stated, 'I never aspired to be part of the welfare system – it was never a direction I envisioned myself taking.'


 When you're committed to a cause, it’s crucial to voice your concerns when issues arise; however, it's just as vital to return later and acknowledge that ‘these problems have been resolved, conditions have improved, and individuals are now more secure.’


 I would enroll my child in sports if I had one right now – I wouldn’t have said that previously.

Programmi come «Uomini e Donne, Trono Over» di Maria De Filippi, contribuisce a sdoganare l'idea che non esista età per ricominciare.


 Dal 1974, da quando la legge sul divorzio è stata approvata, a chiederlo più spesso sono le donne. Il motivo è molto semplice: sono spesso ancora loro a mettere da parte la loro felicità, concentrandosi in maniera unilaterale sui doveri coniugali e «dover svolgere i compiti familiari all'interno delle relazioni».

Whether it’s the “right” haircut, wearing the latest brands or wanting to be popular, don’t dismiss what’s important to children, because these things matter in their world, irrespective of how silly you may find them. That’s not to say you should indulge their every whim or buy everything they ask for. This is about listening, letting them know it’s OK to want things, then making and explaining your decision.

全球生育率普遍都在下降，近日榮獲諾貝爾經濟學獎的哈佛大學教授戈丁，發表的新研究指出，生育率下降背後關鍵因素，就是男性參與家事的時數。尤其在台灣、日本和韓國，雙薪家庭已成主流，但多數女性，不僅要兼顧職場，還得承擔大部分家務責任。像是台灣女性，每天平均比男性多付出1.8小時，在家務勞動上，反觀北歐的瑞典，丹麥、挪威，兩性家事時差不到1小時，相較於歐美，亞洲國家的家務分工，受性別角色影響較大。

 二寶媽呂佳旻：「女兒就說為什麼同學的家裡就是家事都是媽媽在做那我們家都是爸爸在做她覺得很奇妙。」


 誰來做家事，向來是容易引起爭執的話題，但在二寶媽呂小姐家中，這樣的情況從未發生過。


 二寶媽呂佳旻：「跟收納有關的工作，其實都是我在做，那他（先生）的專長，其實是在清潔跟打掃，像地板啊，然後家務的清潔的部分，其實都是他在處理，然後包含就是每天的晚餐，也都是他在準備，對孩子來說，他就會明顯感受到就是，我們家的爸爸跟別人家的爸爸有差異。」


 做家事不再只是女性的責任，呂小姐說，當初肯生第二胎，正是因為先生，願意分擔家務與育兒。


 二寶媽呂佳旻：「如果你生完第一胎之後，你自己一個人要處理所有的家務，如果都是我一個人的話，我相信我一定不會生第二胎，我的先生他的確是有一定的性別的，就是平權的意識是高的。」


 家事分工的確會影響生育率，尤其在台灣日本和韓國，隨著社會發展，雙薪家庭已成為主流，多數女性，不僅要兼顧職場，還得承擔大部分家務責任，導致許多人對婚姻與生育，持保留態度。


 記者劉彥萱：「有研究發現，男性的分擔家務越少，該國的生育率往往也越低，以台灣為例，女性每天平均，要比男性多付出1.8小時，在無償的家務勞動上，鄰近的日韓，女性甚至要比男性，多付出2.32.5小時，家事分工不均，導致台日韓，三個國家的生育率同樣低落。」


 獲得諾貝爾經濟學獎的哈佛大學教授，發表的最新研究指出，全球生育率持續下降，關鍵在於男性參與家務的時數，男性負擔家務較多的地方，生育率較高，在OECD國家當中，瑞典兩性家務時長差距僅0.8小時，每位女性平均生1.7個孩子，另外在丹麥、挪威，家事時差也不到1小時，相較於歐美，亞洲國家的家務分工，受性別角色影響較大。


 托育就業政策催生聯盟召集人王兆慶：「衛生福利部的婦女生活狀況調查，那它的數據顯示，台灣女性平均每天要做100分鐘的家事，男性只需要做50分鐘，我們通常會看倍數，女性是男性的幾倍，100除以50就是兩倍，瑞典的話，女性的倍數是男性的1.3倍，所以就是在瑞典生活的男女，他們做的家事時數，是比較接近的，分鐘數是比較接近的，台灣是比較高一點的，所以當雙薪家庭為主流的時候，這個社會的結構就要思考一件事情，就是你怎麼讓已經去上班的女人，還願意生兩個甚至以上的小孩。」


 婦女新知基金會秘書長覃玉蓉：「北歐國家在這個分配上就比較明確，因為他們的職場文化，跟我們完全不一樣，他們在職場文化上，就是承認每一個人是勞工，但他同時也有，他自己的私人生活要顧，在這樣的情況下，他們其實就很重視所謂的，家庭跟生活的平衡，但這件事情，例如說在台灣或東亞社會，就比較不受重視，所以我們大概可以看到那樣的一個，就是家務分工的張力一直存在。」


 回顧2000年，當時全球生育率，是每名婦女生育2.7個孩子，遠高於人口穩定替代率2.1，如今已經滑落至2.3，而且持續減少中，專家建議，可以借鏡瑞典模式，推動彈性育嬰假，鼓勵男性參與家務，能有效改善生育率與家庭穩定性。


 托育就業政策催生聯盟召集人王兆慶：「因為瑞典男性他們在小孩，非常小的時候，剛出生的時候，瑞典男性普遍都會請一個月的育嬰假，那個普遍有明確的數字是八成，也就是每100個新生兒爸爸，有80個爸爸，都會請至少一個月的育嬰假，這個在台灣是非常難以想像的，我們現在大概100個爸爸，可能只有7個到8個會請育嬰假，是非常巨大的差距啦，瑞典的那種彈性育嬰假是證實，就是可以提升男性做家事，還有育兒的時數的唯一有效制度，但它是不是通行全球的有效，其實也有被打上問號啦。」


 台灣雙薪家庭約占六成，但家事責任，仍受男主外女主內，傳統價值主導，如何進一步推動男性，更積極地參與家務，並提供更具彈性的，家庭支持政策，將是提升生育率的重要關鍵。
