 トイレ5は、赤や黄、青などのカラフルなデザインの大規模なトイレだ。いわゆる「2億円トイレ」として物議を醸していた。米澤氏によれば、建設費に関し、予定工事金額は解体費用を含む計1億5000万円まで引き下がっているという。このトイレには46基が設置されている。

 SNS上で拡散したのは、トイレ5に設置された46基の半分が「メンテナンス中」になっていたというX投稿だ。また、「全部を動かすと水圧が弱く詰まってしまう」という話をスタッフから聞いたと書いていた。


 これに対し、米澤氏は5月5日、この「全部を動かすと水圧が弱く詰まってしまう」という記述は事実と異なるとXで否定した。「水圧が弱いということもございませんし、詰まりが生じる原因でもございません」。


 トイレ5に関する批判や問い合わせが米澤氏にも寄せられているという。その上で、これまでトイレ5の利用停止や利用制限を繰り返してきた理由について、米澤氏は次のように説明した。

 この問題に対し、「異物流入を防ぐフィルターとなるものが設置されました」。また、排水ポンプの交換も計画されているという。それまでの対応措置としては、次のように述べる。

 In light of the issue, the Punjab and Haryana

 sent notifications to the university's Dean of Student Welfare (DSW), the District Commissioner (DC) of Chandigarh, as well as the SP and SSP.  LINCOLN, Neb. (KSNB) - Following four hours of discussion on the floor of the Nebraska Legislature on Tuesday afternoon,
 LB3, also known as the 'Winners-take-all' legislation
 , a motion for cloture did not succeed in ending the filibuster.


 To initiate cloture on LB3, 33 senators' affirmative votes were required. However, following all senators’ voting, it garnered only 31 of those needed votes.


 LB3 was introduced by Senator Loren Lippincott from Central City at the governor's behest. The state transitioned to a method in 1991 where electoral votes were allocated based on congressional districts. During Tuesday's discussion, Senator Lippincott argued against this approach, stating it had been poorly conceived when initially implemented.


 Senator Lippincott stated, "The district plan was approved with a slim majority in the state legislature, receiving 25 'yea' votes, 23 'nay' votes, and one legislator choosing not to vote." He further noted, "This suggests that the district plan lacked widespread support or endorsement from a large coalition of legislators."


 In the debate, Senator Dan Lonowski from Hastings stated that the blue spot in Nebraska’s second congressional district could be better described as a shade of purple.


 "It indicates a complex political environment. This could suggest that although the region generally leans progressive, there remains a substantial conservative contingent, highlighting a blend of differing political perspectives, even in what are typically seen as predominantly liberal zones," Senator Lonowski stated.


 David City Senator Jared Storm stated that this attempt to return to a winner-take-all system is not unprecedented.


 Ever since the modification in 1991, a total of 13 bills have been proposed to switch it back to the winner-take-all system," Senator Storm stated. "This indicates that for nearly every two-year period except three since 1991, there has been an effort to return to the winner-takes-all approach.


 On the opposing end of the debate, Senator Danielle Conrad from Lincoln proposed an amendment to permanently delay the bill. She expressed her concerns regarding the potential discriminatory effects of LB3.


 "When it pertains to voting rights, actions taken by states must not be racially biased. As we have learned from redistricting efforts, both federal and constitutional laws mandate that legislatures should not create district boundaries resulting in the weakening of minority votes," Senator Conrad stated.


 In the midst of the debate, Senator Jane Raybould from Lincoln had harsh comments about LB3.


 Let's refer to LB3 for what it truly represents: a sluggish, myopic effort aimed at depriving Nebraska voters of their authority and transferring it to nationwide political organizations," Senator Raybould stated. "This isn’t driven by principles of equity or uniformity; rather, it seeks to suppress the voices of Nebraskans under the guise of partisan allegiance. Essentially, this move aims to diminish Nebraska, rendering it less noticeable and simpler to overlook.

 Senator Merv Riepe from Ralston expressed his support for postponing the matter to the next legislative session during the discussion.


 Adopting winner-take-all isn’t a concern for 2025; it’s something we’ll address in 2028," Senator Riepe stated. "A debate about this could realistically occur during the legislative sessions of either 2027 or 2028. By 2028, we will have the chance to reassess the topic nearer to the subsequent presidential elections.


 Leaders from both ends of the political spectrum in Nebraska reacted to the failure of LB3's cloture vote.

Being a journalist has taught me to listen more than speak, probing softly without ever raising my voice or appearing judgmental externally. Nonetheless, for an extended period—until fairly lately—I found myself embroiled in intense political debates with some acquaintances and relatives from time to time.


 The trigger would typically be a casual remark regarding, for instance,

 #MeToo movement
 Wine frequently graced their gatherings. Swearing and personal attacks were uncommon, yet they invariably descended into a recognizable pattern: escalating noise levels, sharpened tones, fumbling over half-remembered facts, conceding that "this conversation isn’t getting us anywhere," only to dive back in again regardless.


 In time, both parties might come to see the pointlessness of our conflict and shift towards more secure topics for discussion, without either side claiming victory or achieving much else. Alternatively, we may completely disengage from this battlefield around the dining table, littered as it is with ineffective quips and discarded Quality Street wrappers.  In the initial four stages, this issue has led to an astounding 192 set restarts, causing frustration among both supporters and trainers.


 The most significant rise has been observed in penalties for ruck infractions, which have surged by 30 percent when compared to the previous season.


 The issue is especially severe within the defending team’s 20-metre area, with violations increasing almost twofold from 30 instances in 2024 to 59 this year.


 Penalties for offside in this region have increased as well, jumping from 17 to 25. This indicates that squads are intentionally allowing consecutive sets close to their own try line with the aim of halting the opposition’s offensive drive.

 We need referees to enforce stricter rules and call more offside and ruck penalties. The play-the-ball has become much neater and more enjoyable to watch! It’s preferable to witness additional penalties than the current chaotic situation.


 Other people completely rejected the rule.


 One spectator fumed, 'Infringements during scrums are spoiling the sport,'" while another asserted, "The six-again rule is the most idiotic and detrimental change ever made to Rugby League. It spoiled the previous World Cup and ruins countless games.


 A lot of fans think that referees are employing six-against situations to control how games progress.


 "The rule limiting team momentum to six applies is how they manage the flow of games," a disgruntled supporter commented.


 They previously did this through the assistant referee. What was once called Rugby League has grown dull and routine under V'landys.

 The NRL authorities remain steadfast, asserting that the regulation will be upheld.


 Authorities assert that the six-against-one call aims to quicken gameplay and promote an offensive style of rugby. However, opponents contend this has had precisely the reverse effect, as squads strategically incur penalties to hinder their adversaries' advances.


 Phil Gould, who leads the Bulldogs team, has likewise criticized the six-again rule before, expressing concerns that it interrupts the flow of the match and causes frustration among both participants and spectators.


 However, consensus is not universal. Ex-player and analyst Matty Johns supports the regulation, contending that squads must improve their discipline within the ruck area.

 あまり変わっていません。今もクルド人は、ルールを無視したさまざまな行動をしています。ゴミ捨てでは、指定日以外にゴミを出したり、粗大ゴミを放置して引っ越したりするなどマナーは悪いままです。最近は住民が通報すると、川口市がすぐにゴミを片付け、公共スペースを掃除するようになっているために、改善しているように見えるのでしょう。

 市はクルド人問題が注目されたので、批判を恐れているようです。外国人の迷惑行為の後始末に、大切な税金を使うべきではないと私は思います。しかし汚い場所に住みたくないという市民の方の願いは当然で、仕方なく私はそれを認めています。このようにクルド人問題では日本人が譲ることが繰り返されています。


 それどころかクルド人の態度は、最近批判が強まったためか、いらだって攻撃的になっています。川口市では最近、クルド人がスマホを持っていた川口市民を「盗撮した」と言って集団で囲んでスマホからデータを消せと迫る、警察を呼ぶというトラブルが多発しています。それなのにクルド人の中にはネットで車の暴走などの悪さ自慢を自ら映像で拡散する人がいます。行動が変ですし、彼らは「弱者の難民」ではなく、したたかで、日本人を威圧することもあるのです。


 
 ―川口市には、さまざまな国籍、民族の人が集まっています。クルド人の問題行為が目立つのは、理由があるのでしょうか。
 


 他の外国人と川口市民の間でも、ゴミ出し、騒音、危険運転などの問題は起きています。しかしクルド人は問題行動の数が多く、他の外国人と違って改善しません。その態度は異様です。


 川口市は、昔から外国人が多く住み共存してきました。住民は日本の中で、外国人慣れした人々でしょう。私にも外国人の友人・知人がいます。そして住民には他人や外国人に優しい人が多い街です。また2014年から川口市長になった奥ノ木信夫さんは、多文化共生、外国人にも住みやすい街づくりを、市の政策の柱にしました。


 そうした川口市民でも我慢しきれなくなったのがクルド人問題です。10年以上前から問題を耐えてきたが、それがもう無理になって抗議の声が広がったという印象です。

 川口にヘイトなどない
</h2>

 
 ―メディアや活動家、人権弁護士は、川口で「ヘイト」（他民族への憎悪）や差別があると主張します。しかし私はそんな行為を川口で見聞きしていません。
 


 その通りです。川口では外国人への、ヘイトも差別もほとんどありません。逆に川口市民が外国人に気を使い、我慢をしています。クルド人が「日本人に差別された」とメディアやSNSで主張する事件がありますが、調べるとどれも実際にあったのか疑わしいものばかりです。


 最近、市外からのクルド人批判者がデモをし、それに対して「カウンター」と称する批判者が騒ぐとか、自警団やユーチューバーがウロウロしています。こうした騒ぎをメディアが「ヘイトがあった」などと報道したりしています。しかし、そんな動きに川口市民はほとんど参加していません。はっきり言って、こうした人々は迷惑です。市外の人が起こす例外的な動きを取り上げて、川口市の評判を落とし、川口市民を「ヘイトしている」などという中傷や誹謗するようなメディアの報道や、市外の人による批評はやめてほしいです。


 埼玉クルド人問題、埼玉県の外国人問題は、外国人の行動による治安悪化や迷惑行為によって外国人を含めた地域住民が迷惑をしているという話です。その本筋を忘れないでほしいし、差別問題にすり替えないでもらいたいです。犯罪者を「クルド人だから」「外国人だから」という理由で擁護し、また被害を受けた日本人の訴えを黙殺する行為は、逆に日本人や埼玉県民を怒らせ、地域社会を混乱させ、法を守るクルド人や外国人を暮らしにくくさせていることに気づくべきです。


 また外から騒ぐ人の中には、「日本人が外国人に配慮しろ」「他文化を理解しろ」と、ズレた要求をする人がいます。私たち川口市民は、その努力を10年以上重ねて、うまくいきませんでした。私からすると見えている問題を見えないふりをして、きれいごとを唱えているように思えてしまいます。


 
 ―奥富さんも、この問題に向き合う人も「ヘイト」「差別」と批判を受けます。
 


 私には外国人への差別感情などありません。在日外国人の地元の友人は何人もいます。川口の街づくりでも、外国人を含めたさまざまな人たちから意見を集めています。私は、2015年から市議会議員をしています。福祉を使いやすくしたいという思いから政治家になりました。


 私はクルド人の集住地域に住んでいます。最初は政治家として外国人、クルド人との共生を訴えて来ました。一緒に清掃活動、意見交換会を呼びかけました。ところが、そうした共生の取り組みは、ほとんど効果がありませんでした。彼らの問題行為は続き、言っても改善せず、元からいた住民の方の不満と不安が増える一方でした。共生をこちらから求めても、相手の外国人にその意思がなければ、それは実現できないのです。私や一部の市民には、クルド人、また日本人関係者による脅迫、嫌がらせも続いています。そのようなことを行う人たちと仲良くするのは難しいでしょう。


 そしてこの現実を見ずに、苦しんでいる人々から実態を聞かずに、私や埼玉クルド人問題を説明する人を「ヘイトだ」「差別だ」と攻撃する動きがあります。これはおかしいし、当事者として不愉快です。自由な議論を萎縮させて、問題解決を妨げます。面白がって批判をする人、その批判で利益を得ようとする人もやめてほしいと思います。それが問題に直面している埼玉県民の願いです。

 「多文化共生」のスローガン押し付けにうんざり
</h2>

 
 ―問題解決で注意しなければならないことは何でしょうか。
 


 一部のクルド人が違法・触法行為をしたからといって、すべてのクルド人・外国人が犯罪者であるかのようなレッテル貼りや誹謗中傷はあってはなりません。正規の資格を持ち、真面目に暮らすクルド人や外国人にとっても、法を犯すクルド人や外国人は迷惑でしかないでしょう。そして問題行為をする外国人は私たち川口市民の隣に住んでいます。川口市民は外国人との争いを誰も望んでいません。


 だからこそ司法機関と行政が、法を適切に執行し、クルド人の犯罪を見逃したり、不法滞在するクルド人を放置したり、逮捕しても不起訴にしたりするようなことはあってはなりません。これは他の外国人についても同じです。不法行為をする一部外国人が利益をあげている、犯罪が増えているように見える今の日本の状況は、日本人と外国人の関係を悪化させるだけです。


 取り締まりが緩いという印象が県民の間に広がることによって、埼玉県では、行政や治安・司法機関への信頼が壊れ始めているように見えます。これは非常に危険です。地域社会が心の側面から壊れてしまいます。


 
 ―国は事実上の移民拡大政策を進め、「多文化共生」というスローガンを各地で掲げています。
 


 川口市民の間では「多文化共生」というスローガンを、身構えて聞く、嫌がる雰囲気が出ています。「『多文化共生』ではなく、『他文化強制』だ。もうこの言葉を聞きたくない」という趣旨の市民の声を何度も聞きました。私も同じ考えです。


 私たちは誰も求めていないのに、近所に外国人が集住し、その中に迷惑行為をする人がいて困っている。その状況で「多文化共生」を唱えられると、押し付けられたような不快さを抱いています。


 多文化共生という理想を否定する日本人はいないでしょう。しかし、それを唱える人、また政府や政治家は、理想と現実の間にはギャップがあることを知ってほしいです。


 また埼玉クルド人問題は、移民問題というより、不法滞在者の管理の失敗という問題です。しかし数千人のクルド人さえ管理できない日本の行政が、大量に外国人を日本に入れて大丈夫なのか心配です。私の周囲の川口市民が同じ思いを持っています。

<h2>
 法を外国人に適用する当たり前の対策を
</h2>

 
 ―この問題解決の方向はどのようなものであるべきでしょうか。
 


 私の主張は当たり前のことです。素行の悪い外国人による不法行為への法適用を行うこと。日本に住む資格のない外国人には、本国に帰ってもらうこと。そして各外国人が迷惑行為の是正を自発的に行い、居住者としての責任を果たすように要求することです。また実際に外国人にはそうしてほしい。そしてこれは私だけではなく、川口市民の多くが同じ主張です。


 ところがこの当たり前ができていない。外国人問題で関係者が見たくないものを見えないふりをして放置してきた。それが大問題になって川口市民を苦しめています。故郷を守りたい。平穏に暮らしたい。それだけです。


 外国人の起こしている問題に、私たち川口市民は苦悩しています。なぜ埼玉に住む日本人の声を、聞かない日本人がいるのか不思議です。私たちの話を冷静に聞いてください。

 Wednesday about the “disappointing” decision to cancel because “it’s not possible for me to safely travel outside and then back inside the US,” she wrote.


 Hazelwood, originally from Italy, now resides in the U.S. She was

 "Nuestras investigaciones, nuestro conjunto de datos con la gran cantidad de videos y fotografías que hemos reunido... construimos nuestras propias carpetas e informes. Luego los presentamos junto con sugerencias", expresó Glick, quien abandonó su cargo como director ejecutivo en Betar hace unos treinta días después de contribuir a poner en marcha sus actividades de investigación, durante una conversación reciente con CNN.


 Betar —el grupo judío de derechos civiles Liga Antirracista lo incluye en una lista de organizaciones que supuestamente fomentan ideologías extremas u odiosas, un paso que Betar considera parte de una campaña difamatoria infundada— se abrió permitiendo la denuncia de manifestantes no ciudadanos con fines potenciales de deportación.

 Lo que afirman hacer estos grupos

 De acuerdo con Glick, cuando los informantes descubren estudiantes o profesores sin identificar, Betar ha empleado la tecnología de reconocimiento facial, inteligencia artificial y datos obtenidos de diversas fuentes públicas como posts en redes sociales y menciones mediáticas para facilitar su identificación.


 "Una vez que se hizo público entre nuestras redes que estábamos llevando a cabo este procedimiento, e inclusive antes de unirme a Betar, ya me empezaron a llegar mensajes desde diferentes partes del país", comentó Glick, quien mencionó haber renunciado a su cargo en Betar para enfocarse en otras iniciativas.


 El perfil X de Glick publica fotos y videos de su reciente visita al Capitolio, así como vídeos donde parece enfrentarse a individuos en protestas pro palestinas. A pesar de haber dejado Betar, asegura que desea revelar lo que llama un "esfuerzo concertado" dirigido contra la comunidad judía.


 Betar también asumió recentemente la culpa por unas cuantas calcomanías inflamatorias que aparecieron en un poste en el campus de la Escuela de Leyes de Harvard la semana anterior. La institución envió una misiva a los alumnos reprochándolas y argumentando que su ubicación fue contraria al reglamento escolar.

Además, menciona que se centrará en documentar a aquellos que respalden iniciativas para boicotear, desinvertir o sancionar a Israel o a compañías vinculadas con este país, aspectos que han sido objeto de controversia.

 Una representante de Canary Mission le dijo a CNN mediante un mensaje de correo electrónico que el colectivo es neutral en cuanto a política e independiente del gobierno de Trump. Indicaron además que sus investigaciones son puestas al descubierto después de rigurosas comprobaciones de antecedentes, sin responder así mismo a si alguien específico los lidera dentro de Canary Mission.

"Estamos convencidos de que la transparencia es el más efectivo purificador; mediante esta exposición resaltada, incentivamos una mayor accountability y elevamos la consciencia acerca del alcance dañino que pueden alcanzar discursos antisemitas u ofensivos, ya sea dentro o fuera de ambientes académicos.

Posteriormente, empezó a enfrentar hostigamiento y amenazas mortales a través de las plataformas digitales.


 El perfil de Canary Mission se creó después de que ella asumiera un papel destacado en las protestas propalestinas en el campus de su universidad el año pasado, actuando como portavoz de un campamento en los terrenos de la escuela, dijo Rasikh.

 Rasikh dijo que el perfil en línea ha resultado en acoso, ha afectado su salud mental y sus perspectivas profesionales, y le ha hecho temer por su seguridad y sufrir de ansiedad y depresión.


 “Están creando estos perfiles y estas personalidades para nosotros que están muy alejadas de la realidad, tomando lo que decimos y tergiversándolo para que sirva a su narrativa de incitar miedo, daño y violencia”, dijo Rasikh.

 Los expertos en privacidad dicen que, si bien las actividades de los grupos plantean serias preocupaciones de que la exposición podría impedir que las personas se manifiesten, sus acciones pueden estar dentro de los límites legales porque se basan en información disponible públicamente.


 Grupos como Betar y Canary Mission toman información disponible en una variedad de fuentes dispares, incluidos canales de redes sociales, fotografías, afiliaciones escolares, perfiles de LinkedIn e incluso direcciones de domicilio.


 Pero usar información públicamente disponible para compilar una lista de objetivos de deportación –y compartirla con funcionarios del Gobierno que pueden usarla para dirigir la acción policial únicamente sobre la base de sus opiniones políticas– genera inquietudes de que se esté violando el derecho de las personas a la libertad de expresión y a la privacidad, dijo Megan Iorio, consejera principal y directora amicus del Centro de Información sobre Privacidad Electrónica, un grupo de investigación y defensa sin fines de lucro en la ciudad de Washington.


 “Aunque a la gente no le guste lo que dicen, tienen derecho a decirlo”, dijo Iorio.

 Protests in key Spanish urban centers such as Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, and Palma de Mallorca have erupted as the nation grapples with the challenge of promoting tourism while also tackling residents' worries about rising housing expenses.


 In the meantime, organizers have encouraged protesters to use superglue on the locks of vacation rental properties in an effort to disrupt holidays for renters.


 As per the organizers, 30,000 individuals filled the streets of Málaga – a coastal city in southern Spain.

 Which is favored by British and German vacationers — as they called for solutions to the housing crisis, displaying signs that read: "Homes for the residents of Málaga. Hotels for tourists, affordable rentals."


 However, the authorities have stated that approximately 5,000 protesters participated in the demonstration in Málaga.


 The residents were pictured carrying signs that read: "Homes for the people of Málaga. Hotels for visitors."


 Others have displayed posters from their balconies and windows bearing messages stating, " Housing is a fundamental right, not a commodity."


 At the same time in Madrid, approximately 15,000 individuals convened in the city’s Atocha district and proceeded toward Plaza de España, chanting phrases such as "Property owners are robbers" and "Rentals will perish in Madrid."


 Frustrated tenants have highlighted cases where international hedge funds are acquiring properties, typically to lease them out to foreign visitors.

 The issue has grown so politically sensitive that Barcelona’s local administration committed last year to eliminate all 10,000 short-term rental licenses it currently issues by 2028, with many of these listings found on sites such as Airbnb.


 On Saturday, protesters in Madrid shouted "Airbnb out of our neighborhoods" and carried banners opposing short-term rentals.


 'No more leaving our neighborhoods, our homes, or even our cities every five or seven years,' said Valeria Racu, spokesperson for the Madrid tenants' union, in a statement at the start of the demonstration.


 'We're calling on the half-million households whose contracts expire in 2025 to stay home and resist,' she added.


 In the southern city of Murcia, 500 people chanted: 'We will not tolerate one more eviction'.


 Up north in Santander, a city on Spain's Atlantic coast, residents demanded public houses.


 'No houses without people, no people without houses,' 'everyone under a roof, housing is a right', those in attendance chanted.


 A generation of young people say they have to stay with their parents or spend big just to share an apartment, with little chance of saving enough to one day purchase a home.

 High housing costs mean even those with traditionally well-paying jobs are struggling to make ends meet.


 According to Spain's central bank, almost 40% of Spanish families who rent spend nearly half of their income on housing.


 In April last year the government said it would scrap its so-called 'golden visa' programme granting residency rights to foreigners who make large investments in real estate in the country, which the Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said would help make access to affordable housing 'a right instead of a speculative business'.


 The average rent in Spain has almost doubled in the last 10 years.


 The price per square meter rose from 7.2 euros ($7.9) in 2014 to 13 euros last year, according to real estate website Idealista. The increase is bigger in Madrid and Barcelona.


 Incomes have failed to keep up, especially for younger people in a country with chronically high unemployment.


 Spain does not have the public housing that other European nations have invested in to cushion struggling renters from a market that is pricing them out.


 Today's protests are the latest in a spate of demonstrations that rocked Spain last summer, as tens of thousands of fed up locals filled the streets to protest mass tourism.


 Anti-tourism campaigners have long been contesting the current tourism model, claiming that many locals have been priced out by holidaymakers, expats and foreign buyers.


 Last year, Spain saw a record-breaking number of tourists, with over 15 million visitors flocking to the island of Mallorca alone.


 In response, protestors took to the streets across Spain, leaving countless visitors fuming after paying hundreds of pounds to enjoy their holidays abroad.


 Actions included marches on the street with protesters chanting 'tourists go home', as well as demonstrations on beaches which saw locals boo and jeer at sun-soaked tourists.


 In one particular instance, up to 50,000 locals descended onto the streets of the Mallorca capital Palma.


 Meanwhile in Barcelona, some 2,800 people marched along a waterfront district of Barcelona to demand a new economic model that would reduce the millions of tourists that visit every year.


 Protesters carried signs reading 'Barcelona is not for sale,' and, 'Tourists go home,' before some used water guns on tourists eating outdoors at restaurants in popular tourist hotspots.


 Chants of 'Tourists out of our neighbourhood' rang out as some stopped in front of the entrances to hotels.


 Last month, anti-tourism campaigners issued a chilling warning to British holidaymakers after they threatened to unleash more chaos.


 With summer holidays looming, the Mallorcan anti-tourism campaign group Banc del Temps Sencells posted a video hinting that there will be more action taken.


 In the clip, locals can be seen marching through Mallorca's streets holding 'For Sale' signs, as they vent about how they are being priced out by tourists.
