 Mr. Awuah pointed out that beyond commercial paper, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and renewable energy are attractive asset classes. These alternatives can offer greater protection for pensions against economic upheavals and enhance long-term financial gains.


 The push for diversification was rooted in worldwide examples. Mr. Awuah referred to the Norwegian Government Pension Fund as an exemplary model.


 He mentioned that the $1.3 trillion fund has implemented a varied investment strategy encompassing stocks, real estate, private equity, and infrastructure. This strategic diversification has shielded the fund from market volatility and established it as a significant participant in the international investing arena.

 Mr. Awuah additionally highlighted the increasing worldwide pension deficit—the unpaid obligations of state-funded pensions, especially those designated for public sector workers—which the International Labour Organisation projects will surpass $400 trillion by 2050.

 "By giving priority to these alternative asset categories, Ghana’s pension funds might experience enhanced returns and superior safeguarding of our retirees against market fluctuations," he stated.


 Some experts have advocated for raising the current cap of five percent on the maximum allowance for overseas investments by pension fund managers.


 Mr. Awuah pointed out Ghana’s inadequate level of financial literacy as a significant obstacle. According to data from the World Bank, just 27% of Ghanaians possess adequate financial knowledge. "A lack of comprehension regarding investment mechanisms leaves both retirees and individual investors susceptible to unwise choices that could endanger their future finances," he stated.

 Much focus is placed on Nvidia’s superiority in sheer performance, but arguably its most significant and lasting benefit lies in its CUDA platform. Consider CUDA akin to a programming language enabling developers to leverage GPUs for tasks beyond their initial purpose of rendering graphics.


 CUDA serves as the foundational software upon which the intricate structure of artificial intelligence is constructed. Most advanced development platforms and tools utilized by AI developers are designed to be compatible with CUDA.


 This indicates that if a client decided to migrate to a competitor’s chips, they would have to dedicate substantial resources and effort to revamp their complete processes and teams—either via extensive reeducation or by laying off current employees and recruiting new ones skilled in alternative technologies. Although such a transition might be technically feasible, the expense involved typically renders it unfeasible for the majority of businesses. As a result, CUDA ensures that Nvidia retains its customers within its technology sphere, even at an additional cost.

 The road ahead isn't an easy one.
</h2>

 Even with Nvidia’s leading position, several obstacles remain on the horizon. In the short term, I do not anticipate significant barriers that Nvidia would struggle to overcome. The indicators suggest that the firm will maintain strong sales performance throughout the coming year. Its key large technology clients have pledged unprecedented levels of investment specifically aimed at artificial intelligence initiatives, much of this funding intended for expanding their data centers.


 Over the long run, several significant issues emerge. Primarily, artificial intelligence needs to start generating returns substantial enough to validate the enormous investments directed towards its advancement. Merely promising great things won’t suffice indefinitely; investors like those at Alphabet and Meta will become progressively anxious about continued expenditures without evident rewards. Should these profits not materialize over the coming couple of years, funding might well diminish.


 Secondly, although Nvidia seems poised to retain its advantage for the near term, technology is an area known for upheaval. A newcomer semiconductor company employing groundbreaking innovations might suddenly rise to prominence. Alternatively, without such fanfare, some of its key customers may create their own chips and transition away from Nvidia despite the protective barrier posed by CUDA that was previously mentioned.


 Finally,
 One of Nvidia's greatest hurdles now comes from its own achievements.
 At least when it comes to its stock price, the company released another impressive earnings report last month, showing almost an 80% increase in sales compared to the previous year. However, Nvidia’s share value has dropped by 21% within the past six weeks. While broader economic conditions may be contributing negatively, the main issue seems to be that the market demands flawless performance from the company, which is unattainable — except perhaps according to my fifth-grade violin instructor who believes otherwise, though achieving such standards was beyond me.


 Nevertheless, only a handful of businesses have shown the foresight that Nvidia possesses. Nvidia should be capable of adjusting to future obstacles. While things certainly won’t always go smoothly, I believe that as time progresses, people’s demands for flawlessness will diminish, allowing Nvidia’s profits to expand significantly. Moreover, since the company’s stock value recently dropped, leading to one of its lowest P/E ratios in several years—well prior to the surge in artificial intelligence interest—I consider investing in Nvidia to be quite astute.

 The 379 individual funds under the MPF achieved an average return of 2.7 percent in the initial quarter, marking the highest performance since a 4.1 percent increase in the first quarter of 2023. As for the year 2024, the MPF reported a return of 8.8 percent.

 US equity funds had the poorest performance, declining by 5.3 percent, whereas global equity funds dropped by 1.8 percent.

 The Hang Seng Index has risen by 15 percent this year following an increase of 18 percent in 2024, whereas the Hang Seng Tech Index has seen a gain of 21 percent year-to-date.


 In contrast, the S&P 500 dropped 4.6 percent during the initial three months of the year, marking its poorest performance at the beginning of a year since the opening quarter of 2022. Experts pointed to concerns over inflation and an impending U.S. recession as reasons for this decline.


 Launched in 2000, Hong Kong’s Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) is a required savings program where both employers and employees contribute monthly amounts. These contributions can make up to 5 percent of the employee's monthly income towards their retirement fund.


 The required contribution has an upper limit of HK$3,000 per month—HK$1,500 contributed by each the employee and their employer. These contributions go into investment options selected by the members themselves. The money can be withdrawn once the individual reaches 65 years of age.


 According to the data from MPF Ratings, mixed-asset funds, which include investments in both stocks and bonds, saw an increase of 3.6 percent during the initial three months of the year.


 A standard investment strategy (SIS) that adopts a varied approach to investing globally in both equities and fixed-income securities adjusts the level of risk based on an individual’s age. This particular method showed inconsistent outcomes; SIS choices with greater emphasis on stocks experienced a decline of 0.4 percent during the initial three months, whereas those leaning towards bond investments saw a rise of 0.5 percent.


 Moving forward, Chung from Bay Insurance advised the members to remain cautious about potential market fluctuations for the rest of 2025.


 While the newly formed U.S. administration is posing a threat to the global economy through proposed increases in tariffs, other nations stand ready to counter these moves," he stated. "Such tariff hikes could trigger inflation within the United States, which would consequently impact both the interest rates set by the U.S. Federal Reserve and various economic activities within the country. Members of the MPF should brace themselves for potential volatility in financial markets.


 Members of the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) who are comfortable with taking on greater risks might want to allocate some of their savings into Hong Kong and Chinese equity funds. The reasoning behind this advice is that the mainland authorities possess numerous strategies for stimulating economic activity, an effort that will likely have positive ripple effects on Hong Kong’s economy as well, he explained.

RISE 머니마켓액티브는 3위를 차지하며 1975억 원의 자금이 입증되었고, TIGER CD금리플러스액티브와 SOL 초단기채권액티브 역시 각각 4위와 5위를 달성하여 각각 1904억 원과 1875억 원의 자금이 유입되었다. 특히, KODEX 머니마켓액티브는 올해 전체 ETF 중에서도 최대 규모의 자금 유출입을 보였습니다.


 윤성인 삼성자산운용의 매니저는 "KODEX 머니마켓액티브가 단기간 내에서 만기가 도래하는 채권과 유동성을 유지하기 위한 자산으로 이루어진 기준 인덱스를 따르므로, 금리 변화로 인한 영향을 줄여서 투자자의 돈이 꾸준히 들어오고 있는 것 같다"라고 밝혔습니다.


 윤 매니저는 "국내와 해외에서 정경 유불안으로 인해 자산의 가격 변동성이 커짐에 따라 안전하게 이용할 수 있는 파킹형 상품을 찾는 투자자의 관심이 급증하고 있다고 보았다."


 파킹형 상품 이외에도 안전자산으로서의 금에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 관련 ETFにも 자금이 유입되었습니다. 1분기에 개인투자자는 ACE KRX금현물 ETF를 통해 총 2831억원을 순매수하였습니다.

 Dr. Emomotimi Agama, the Director-General of the SEC, made this statement during an interview in Abuja regarding several key points from the ISA 2025. He emphasized that the new legislation represents a significant revolution across various aspects because it grants the SEC the chance to maintain its Category A membership within the International Organization of Securities Commission.


 Religion states this is important as it enables other nations to compare the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and its capital market against those of other regions. This comparison can attract more foreign investment and investors to the Nigerian capital market, thereby expanding the market’s reach within Nigeria.


 The Director-General of the SEC mentioned that one of the key features of the updated law is the expansion of possibilities for fundraising within the Nigerian capital market. Additionally, this legislation includes regulations for online foreign exchange activities, in which many Nigerians participate, along with introducing laws pertaining to the governance of digital assets in Nigeria.


 He stated, "This development is significant because within Nigeria’s youth populace, numerous individuals participate in this sector. Additionally, the introduction of the Legal Entity Identifier into Nigerian legislation addresses issues related to derivative transactions."


 The legal framework effectively encompasses the commodities ecosystem, regulating various aspects from the spot market through the derivatives market to the secondary market. Additionally, this legislation eliminates constraints imposed by state and local governments on raising capital and fostering development within their jurisdictions. This is significant for our objectives.


 The head of the SEC highlighted that the stipulations of this legislation are extensive and foundational in establishing a vibrant, robust, and solid capital market. This market will play a crucial role in advancing the country's economic growth and supporting President's aim to achieve a one-trillion-dollar economy.


 Dr. Agama emphasized that the core purpose of this legislation is to foster a vibrant, inclusive, and robust capital market for economic growth. He further stated that the Commission is dedicated to advancing both the capital market and Nigeria’s overall economy.


 He stated, "The capital market possesses sufficient strength to supply the essential financing requirements across different economic sectors. This is among the most robust markets imaginable; we boasted one of the highest returns on investment globally over the past year.
